1  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: How is everyone getting ready for Le Mans on: June 03, 2012, 10:51:28 pm
Watching the "old" dvd's - right now it's the 2007 race. I did remember the weather as bad, but  Lips Sealed it's really pouring down.

Going through all the old races until monday, where we're off from Denmark to - Beausejour this year  Cry - didn't make it in time for Bleu Nord as we preferred. But what the h, it's going to be great no matter what!

By the way, is there a Gentlemans club/strip bar somewhere in the area of Le Mans? In case of a rainy wednesday we we're planning a night in town.
2  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Was Le Mans empty this year? on: June 20, 2009, 09:35:57 am
From our position - grandstand above the pitlane, we saw the start of the race. We also talked about what looked like many empty spots on the other side of the start/finish - usually it's so crowded already four hours before the race, but this year, there was plenty of room.

Also walking around the track gave the impression, that there were much fewer attendents this year than, at least, the two previuos years.

Staying at BN for the first time, I can't say whether it was crowded or not, but there was some empty spots near our little camp, so there hasn't been sold out 100%

But still, a great Le Mans again - again!

Hi all,

I stayed with some not CA friends at BN for the first time this year - sorry to miss the CA camp, but I didn't really see it. (Trouble with the eyes when exposed to alcohol...)

But the toilets where very fine in my opinion. Cleaned almost every hour during day time, from 6.30 in the morning until 7 at night. (Have never found out, which is AM and PM? 7 is mornig here in denmark, 19 is evening, it's so easy...)

Showers...they were fine - but there were not enough. Really, six cabins for all of us? Luckily woke early up for a piss both thursday and saturdy, only few people in line, got the shower, went back to bed. - And hot water both times! Or should I say, boiling hot for one minut, then icecold for 30 seconds, and then boiling hot again. It worked for me, kept the hangovers away Huh

But all together a very nice capsite, great to get the tentpegs in, not too hard or soft, and fine security all over, saw only the 6 french jugglers there were camping up the road, but they didn't make any trouble, only a lot of noise.

And then, this year, I was sp lucky, to have my english vocabulary increased. I really did not know, that "f**k off, you cheese-eating surrender monkeys" ment that the french gendarmerie should go somewhere else and blow there whistles Grin

Thx for a great week.

smokie that picture of the guy running for his tent, thats just awesome!

I'm optimistic untill I die, so I'm in for a week at Le Mans with nice warm weather and a lot of sun.

Yes, no more 2007ish rain and storm.
5  Club Arnage / Help / Re: Got grandstand ticket - but the wrong ones! on: June 07, 2009, 10:26:20 pm
Okay, I'll just have to give it a try.

When dealing with the froggies you always have to check everything twice. It's lige a teacher always told us at my study years ago: If your momma says she loves you - check it!

Btw: 2009 - All my cars are green, I only buy green cars, I have a green MGB, a green Aston and a green TVR.... Oh, thats not what they meant by green cars....

Haha, that's good stuff!
6  Club Arnage / Help / Got grandstand ticket - but the wrong ones! on: June 05, 2009, 01:37:40 pm
Argh, thought we had the tickets for the Dunlop grandstand, but now we have just found out, that they actually is for the "tribune" above the pits. And that really sucks!

We ordered the tickets like 100 years ago, and our senior coordinator forgot to check EVERYTHING that he received from the ACO. (Newbie mistake)

So the question is: Is there any chance, that we can have the tickets swapped at the ACO rotundo? We arrive at the circuit already wednesday morning.

We have a copy of our order, their confirmation and all that stuff - but my personlly opinion is, that the froggies really don't care about that stuff.

Hej PedersenKorsager - hyggeligt med endnu en dansker herinde!

I've just made a little chance in the playlist - for the morning hours, Ive just downloadet the RadioLeMans from last year - the hours from 3 to 7 in the morning - yes, that'll bring the right Le Mans spirit to the driver behind the wheel.

8  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Driving music on: June 04, 2009, 03:14:30 pm
Some of it is Dansih, and maybe not known outside the danish border.

But the first playlist lokks like this:

Ramstein  Los
Darude  Sandstorm
Uncle Cracker  Follow me
Dj Ballon  Pussylovers
Metallica  Enter sandman
Lucy Love  Daddy was a DJ
DAD  Monster Philosophy
ACDC  Thunder
Timbaland  The way you are
Ataf  Kig frem
Daft punk  Tehcnologic
Black Eyed peas  Boom Boom
U2  Vertigo
Jooks  Hun vil ha en rapper
Verano  Disc-o-tec
Metallica  Whiskey in the jar
Ramstein  Reise Reise
DJ Ballon  Technorocker

That's for starters. When driving from Denmark, with a...caravan...then it's a 20 hour trip. Sucks, but driving at night through Belgium is great, with the illuminated freeway, great idea. But then you're getting tired, and need good, loud, music!
9  Club Arnage / Help / Re: Official online Le Mans merchandise shop??? on: June 01, 2008, 10:57:15 pm
Exactly. But that shop has been up and down the entire year. So it's no surprise that it's f****d up right now, 12 days before the actions starts.
10  Club Arnage / Help / Re: France speed camera location database on: June 01, 2008, 10:40:48 pm
Is there a deal between the UK and Froggies when it comes to speeding fines??? Last year I speeded past a lot of cameras and saw the flash multiple times, but I've never received a fine here in Denmark.

I don't think we have such an arrangement so that the french police can fine me, if not stopped and forced to pay in cash.
11  Club Arnage / Help / Official online Le Mans merchandise shop??? on: June 01, 2008, 10:38:06 pm
Can anyone help me with a link to the official online shop for the 24 hours race for CARS and not bikes???
12  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: who is having car trouble then on: June 01, 2008, 10:09:41 pm
Just fitted a new front bumper and left wing. Also just got my 17" alloys back from the painter today, so I'm almost ready. Now I'm just waiting for...I don't know what it's called in english - race springs and dampers I think, so my Focus estate no longer will be flying up mid air.

And the front and wing - a small sign and a little tree destroyed the old parts Roll Eyes Some idiot behind the wheel tried to go...too fast, in a tight corner. We'll now I know how NOT to do that again Angry
