16  Club Arnage / Help / GDPR on: April 28, 2018, 05:09:46 pm
Not exactly sure who to address this to but what are CA going to do in order to comply with the new GDPR regs?

I only ask as I also run a car owner's forum and wondered if anyone here has got to grips with what's going to be necessary in order to comply with the regs from May 25th?

Thanks in advance,

Paul

My car is a leased company vehicle. Presume I'll have to organise this through the leasing company. Any ideas?

I would have expected that as Lord Steve you would have a minion to arrange this for you, your lordship?  Grin

All I need now is the V5C for my new car that I collected 2 months ago!

Thanks for the update

Having been to Spa in 2013, 2015, 2016 & 2017 I can confirm that the grandstands are open and that you don’t need a reserved seat. If you want the best seat then get there early!

As previously suggested the best solution is to get your walking shoes on and get around the track. The climb up from Eau Rouge to Raidillon is steep, but the Kemmel Straight is easier. Get up to Bruxelles and what the cars go around 180 degrees around you. Walk down Pouhon, there are chips and beers at the bottom!

Yep, I'll take a pair of patches if you're ordering.

Just let me know how much & where/who to pay.

Thanks

SEX AFTER DEATH
A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other if there is sex after death.
Their biggest fear was that there was no after life at all.
After a long life together, the husband was the first to die. True to his word, he made the first contact:
" Marion .... Marion "
"Is that you, Bob?"
"Yes, I've come back like we agreed."
"That's wonderful! What's it like?"
"Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it's off to the golf course.
I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a couple of more times.
Then I have lunch (you'd be proud - lots of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it's back to golf course again.
Then it's more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again"
"Oh, Bob! Are you in Heaven?"
"No -- I'm a rabbit in Kent'.

Chaps,

Just to clarify matters.

As you know I sold this guy the two pitches but I don't know if he's a CA member.  I sold the pitches via the Beermountain forum.

He was warned about the location in a PM that I sent to him.  I quote - "Just to make you aware that the north end of Bleu Nord is quite noisy as there is a large group of us Brits. Friday night's party can be lengthy but most of the neighbours are invited."

His response to that statement - "Excellent ! I'm a 21 year veteran and have experienced one or two parties, so no worries."

I think that I was honest with the guy and that if he then felt that his enjoyment was diminished by events then he only has himself to blame.

At no point did he say anything to me (why should he?) other than hello on Wednesday afternoon.  The rest of my guys thought he was a bit of a grumpy bugger too.

Apologies for using Beermountain  Embarrassed

Just for the avoidance of any doubt at all....I absolutely purposely kept your name out of this, as your sale to him had absolutely nothing to do with his attitude.  There was no suggestion that this guys problem was anything other than his own fault.

However, we will be publicly tarring and feathering you, at dawn on Friday.......just for fun Smiley

Any chance of more tar & less feather?  Grin

What's the policy on taking in booze?

Last year seemed to be almost a zero ban but I always thought it was glass that was a no no?

Most of the speed traps I spotted last year on Monday morning were on the A28 north of Rouen.

Must have been driving with my eyes closed!

We're staying over night in Chartres again this year but that still means that I need to be sober for the short (1 hour) drive from Bleu Nord to Chartres.

Our route on Monday takes us cross country to Rouen so hopefully we'll avoid most of the obvious pinch points along the A28.

Tempted to de-sticker on Monday morning so as to appear less of a target for the drive north to le Chunnel.
