Long shot at this stage I know, but as I've posted else where, we're having to take two cars this year as the campervan is unavilable. So we're after an additional camping pass for HA. Even Nadine wasn't able to increase the order!

...I'm hoping not to have to resort to *bay  Embarrassed

Cheers,

19  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Houx Annex restrictions? on: February 12, 2007, 01:39:47 pm
Hi all,

Sorry if this has been covered off already, but I've heard that Houx Annex will have marked out bays this year. Is this true?

We've got one camping pass already but as our normal campervan isn't available we'll be taking two cars instead, so looking for another pass. We've got a car parking space booked for car 2 just in case we can't get hold of another Houx Annex pass.

If the camping spaces are marked out then we will definitely need another one!

Any advice, or direction to the thread where this has been discussed, would be appreciated!

Ta Muchly.

Hey, thanks and Hi to those who remember me!

The Fred Dibnah Memorial tour is back in business!! Although we have a cunning new slogan in the making already!

We've lost our Camper van this year though, so for the first time in 6 years we'll have to do with a couple of cars. One of our member has got a nipper on the way, due in July, so being his third, felt obliged to remain at home... he's the one with the van... and will be missed of course.

Anyway... you can expect to hear a bit more from me this year... and I'll send Joy over to you Smokie, just give her a chance to get mopped up.

Yes, I know I've not been on the forum for some time...

Yes, I know, the regulars won't even remember me, let alone the irregulars...

But I've had to avoid the fun of the forum for a while 'cos it hurts too much to see the build up when I've not been able to attend....

BUT NOT THIS YEAR!! OH NO!!

All systems are go! I've got clearance from mission control and I'm on the boat!!

Anyone else out there want to share in the joy of getting clearance? If you are able to attend every year then you simply won't understand the joy I'm feelin'!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm sitting here in the office thinking of my four mates who are at this very moment skipping along in their RV to Houx Annex...  Cry

Moved house last week and the money's too tight to mention!

Next year perhaps, need to start saving now!

...apparently the lady with Nick Moran in our footy shirt in that pic is Phil Babbs girlfriend...

Phil Babb use to play for Liverpool and played in the 98 worldcup...

...so it was just the one Z-list celeb and a Z-list celeb's girlfriend then  Roll Eyes

At least we've got some wriggle room for bettering it...  Wink
24  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: So where should I camp @ Le Mans? on: November 11, 2005, 11:01:08 am
Hi 20vmk2_dub,

As a general rule, I think most people tend to return to the camp site they used the year before. This must mean that when push comes to shove, they are all pretty good really.

Location is probably the biggest difference as it's a bit of a treck to the main stands for some, but then they are closer to some good trackside viewing. 6 and two threes.

MB tends to attract more hard core groups who set up their own village. (most of which are on this forum I undestand... Roll Eyes)

We started in KN but have found HA to be in a better position for what we wanted.

As long as it's one of the on-site camping sites, you can't really go wrong.

It's Nick Moran from Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrells...

You're right Rick!

But no CA T-Shirt... just shamless example of getting a shirt on a celeb!

This thread just sparked my interest 'cos we've been doing a similar thing with our footy team shirts...

The Mighty Bunky Chollox F.C.   Roll Eyes

Unfortunatly my trip to Le Mans doesn't really get me to the top of the travel distance competition as there's been some from Sydney, Vagas, Hongkong, Wellington etc. etc.

...I'll get me coat.
27  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Travels with the Club Arnage T Shirt on: November 09, 2005, 04:50:17 pm
..I think you should all try and go one step further with this shirt thing...

...and see which celeb you can get wearing one!! (photo evidence required of course!)

For example (and not exactly 'A' list) this is what we've got for our footy team...

We also have a 'shirt on travels' thing going with this type of thing...

Which of course includes my own contribution.. (please excuse the drunken blurry look... the photographer was just as drunk!)

...see, there was a Le Mans link... eventualy!!  Roll Eyes

Smokie

I use www.1and1.co.uk for all my domain registrations. All self administered over the web and I've never had any problems with them. I've got something like 50 domains with them now!

I also use 1&1 for my (cheap plug) Bunky Chollox footy team site. Never had any trouble, each player has a <Name>@BunkyChollox.com email address and we also have the .co.uk domain for good measure.

The site is actually hosted with Wanadoo but that doesn't show in the browser address bar.

Mobile Phone networks are down in London as they have been used before to trigger more bombs.

A Friend of mine works in the hospital spitting distance from Aldgate East. She's ok, but she'll be busy.

I doubt it's connected to the Olympic win. The G8 will be the reason today was chosen.

Prayers to those who have been effected.

On another tangent...

You can't really go too wrong with Sony, just make sure you shop around as the prices can vary by about £200. The 'Never knowlingly undersold' tag line of one shop should be changed to 'Check the web and you'll find it half price'...  Roll Eyes

What you also need to consider is your editing requirements. Is your PC up for rendering the images? What editing software suits your budget (£40 - £5K) If it's just for home movies then don' worry about getting extra disks on your PC for rendering, just make sure you've got about 60Gb free and you'll be fine.

Try here for actual advice though.

Sorry to get off the subject though...  Roll Eyes
