Pompey Cherbourg on the "I wish the bog faced forward or back rather than sideways to the direction of travel" womitcomit Thursday 11th 0900, back on the Barfleur Monday night to Poole
Camp Carnage with young Gary and the boys
soon be June
Tell me about it. It was this wretched design fault on the eponymous Comet and the “turning starboard” which caused me to skid and fall over in some sick (not mine). Never again.

What use is 1litre of beer? Bloody French.
Personally I take in one litre of fortified water* and cans of Coke to dilute it.
* may contain vodka

Clucking Bell - We (Evil Sam & me) are not going this year - 22 years of first going to Le Mans - this will only be my 2nd one I will miss! Due to family comitments (wedding) in Scotland, I can not get the pass to get to Le Mans this year, funny really, put my our name down for tickets as soon as the race finised, booked the ferry the day after they were released, 1st time in my life I have been organised - and now can't go But don't worry, I shall have my Le Mans drinking trousers on and will be drink Loch Lomand beer and Whisky. Have a great time all - and We shall return 2020 ! Booo to this news. Was going to make a determined effort to see you guys and Mr S Brown this year. I've rocked up at your camp a few times and there's been nobody home.

Looking forward to a quality journey down with you Mr Zarse, will aunty Rover be providing transport?
Not sure yet. Possibly. Or might be in the Leighla Jeep. Or something else. Still, really looking forward to a lazy drive down with you and Brad. Been there done that. Good luck. Brad is driving this year. Hopefully Ian does a full "Chaplins Bar" on him on the way down. I'll pack a mop and bucket.

Zarses are, predictably enough, once again at Camp C'Arnage with Team Robbo. Pompey-Le Havre Tuesday night, off to Arromanche for some D-Day 75 action, we'll take a pleasant luncheon on the coast, and arrival at the BN vomitorium on Wednesday afternoon.
I am especially delighted to announce Chris Zarse (AKA C***y) is making a welcome return after a ten year hiatus, although he's travelling after work on Friday, on the Eurostar with a drunken Melan. They will arrive in a terrible state.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Spare crossing from Portsmouth, seat needed!
|

One of our lot can happily now attend. Unfortunately we are sailing on the Tuesday night which is too early for him. All rather last minute but ideally he needs a crossing and a ride down to Le Mans any time Thursday evening/Friday morning. He lives in Portsmouth so if anyone has had a gang member drop out please PM me. Obviously he will more than pay his way, and he's a good sort.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Rex "Lord Pigpen" Keen

I'm dreadfully sorry to have to inform you all that Rex from The Brethren died yesterday.
I saw Rex in Sebring last week, he was the last person I said goodbye to as I left the curcuit on sunday lunchtime. He flew back on wednesday and went home. Details after this point are somewhat sketchy so I will not speculate further. It is fair to say there's a huge amount of shock, sadness and disbelief out there amongst his friends, from The Brethren and well beyond.
Beyond his obvious excesses, he was the kindest sweetest of men. Even when stratosperically refreshed he was never less than a gentleman.
Funeral arrangements to be advised, all welcome.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

Back on topic; why don't we meet at the bar nearest to the concert venue at 8.30 before Dr Feelgood start at 9.00? Prize of a bag of Monster Munch for the Club Arnager who has smuggled the most booze in.
What flavour? 😀
