5026  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / Re:camping permits on: April 22, 2003, 06:01:06 pm
Angry :(I think this is the same bloke I bought a ticket off via CA a couple years ago, when we desperately needed an extra one. I was new to the forum and unaware of the rules.

He charged me double face value after conducting a blind auction! Apparently, he had over-ordered and was flogging off the spare tickets at twice cost price. Therefore him and his mates effectively camped for free. He is from Yorkshire. Huh

I trust who ever sells him a ticket will observe the same courtesy.

If is not the same bloke then I apologise sincerely but I don't think I'm wrong. Angry  Shocked

5027  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Seatbelt laws - REAR SEATS! on: April 22, 2003, 04:55:25 pm
Mark

I asked a similar question last year, answered by Gilles.

In Gilles absence, I have been back into the old site and pasted the reply below, hope this helps.

Some of the follow up was quite good, it wassuggested to get the boys to wear a white tee shirt and paint a black line across the chest, or two black lines for the full harness effect.

PS I think I've got SARS, or at least some other horrible flu bug. My chest's that bad, I'm having difficulty smoking.

FROM Gilles 2002: "Someone asks my science ??

You can't have someone (one or two or more) in the back of your van.

It's one guy per seat as mentioned on your vehicle card, specifications book,...

If you want to transform your van to a bus, I hope you can ad optional seats. Most of vans have fixations to do it.

Concerning seatbelts, you have to lock it if you've got one. The obligation in France starts in 73 or 71 and isn't retroactive. So if you've just 2 seatbelts for 3 seats just lock the twice.

What's the risk if the gendarmes catch you? Probably just a fine (don't ask me for the amount).

So you've three solutions:

First, buy and fix optional seats if your van is able.

Second, give blankets and pillows to the backside guys to hide them when you see law enforcement authorities.

Third, add a horse trailer to host them. They will sleep well on the straw, (ok it's dangerous for cooking breakfast, but I prefer Hot Rosbeef !!!!!) and straw will make a perfect chill conservator for beers, not included the huge volume of beers and stuffs you can bring with you. You can bring your pony with you. It'll always better than a simple bike to make trips around the circuit.

5028  Club Arnage / Help / Re:First Time at PQ on: April 17, 2003, 05:12:33 pm
You seem to have grasped the general idea for the actual race week, although in my experience, the PQ weekend in May is much more low key and less of a lash up. I see more of the cars at PQ than at the race.

However, to answer your question at the race itself, on the Thursday night can I suggest the Stella Bar at Tertre Rouge, get shedded and watch night practice.

And on the Friday night, can I suggest the Stella Bar at Tertre Rouge, again the same thing but no cars this time. Last year we drank a criminal amount down there and i recall becoming slightly giddy. Dan and the TWATS got thrown out apparently.

And on the Sat morning, can I suggest the Stella bar...

5029  Club Arnage / Help / Morte aux vache on: April 16, 2003, 04:44:01 pm
Huh Does anyone know what morte aux vache really means? I know what it means literally, but what does it mean in graffitti terms?

It's sprayed on the wall of the little tunnel under the track at tertre rouge and it's been there ever since I first visited Le Mans in 1988. Who sprayed it? Why? I have wondered what it means ever since and it's been known to keep me awake at night on occasions.

Hoping someone can help.  Huh

H I never knew you were a peruvian. What an attractive llama, you'll get the celtic contingent fizzing at the bunghole!   Embarrassed Hypertension smiley. Embarrassed

This is ridiculous. It seems I am still a quadroped with wings, a large forehead and a beak for eating honey.

Don't know about bells palsey but this smiley seems to have some sort of genetic gum disease.

Yes hello everyone. Stop me being a llama for christ sake! The new technology is getting the better of me. I'm more of an alpacha really.

5033  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / Beausejour options for free on: April 14, 2003, 01:51:44 pm
Having obtained my camping ticket requirement elsewhere, I am happy to pass on for free the options that I have on three Beausejour tickets. The ACO need to be paid the 31 euros per ticket by 18 April, although I will see if I can hold them off a bit longer.

If anyone wants these options (except for theiving touts; I need to be sure you are genuine!) then they can have them gratis.

Leave your email address and we can sort something out.

It's a sin to see them go to waste.
