16  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Virage de Mulsanne on: May 14, 2018, 06:25:36 pm
Does anybody know what's going on at the Virage de Mulsanne this year? I can't seem to find any information on this years event and, as BMW are the 'stars' of the Classic Welcome this year, I may just have to wander out St Saturnin way on the Friday morn instead.
Any enlightenment most welcome.

I've asked my printer to get them to me by the 6th, so send yours out shouldn't be a problem.

Excellent, thanks for that 👌. If its necessary then whatever extra it is to send mine out next day delivery if you can will, of course, be reimbursed at the earliest ...

On that premise could I have one, XXXL, in blue please. If you could publish the final total costings then my payment will be PayPal'ed to you directly and, as mentioned, any additional costs as and when.

Thanks again Rusty.

Rusty, any predictions on potential posting dates for the T? We are leaving on the weekend prior to the race you see and I wouldn't want my shirt sat on the doormat whilst I am in France!

Magnificent, as ever. I will be taking one but will garner interest from other parties before ordering, wait one ...

These'll go.

After years of trying different sites, different approaches, your own tent on Tertre Rouge is, in our opinion, the only way to do it. Easy access to everything, secure, well serviced, great soundtrack, etc, etc.

A shame you're having to miss it.

We are going to the BTCC opener on the 8th, we'll have a look then if it helps?

Maccy Dees!
... 😣

Hotel Le Lion Verd in Putanges-Pont-Écrepin have confirmed that they will be serving continental breakfast on the Sunday (10th) prior to race weekend. My wife and I have eaten here before and can recommend it, very friendly, very nice breakfast and ample parking right outside. Putanges-Pont-Écrepin is a quant, interesting little ville too, on a nice route to LM and well worth a visit.

Should anybody else be thinking of dropping in for breakfast on the way down on the Sunday it might be best to email the hotel to let them know you are coming at some point.
24  Club Arnage / Help / Breakfast on a Sunday? on: February 13, 2018, 11:36:07 am
Landing in Caen on Sunday morning, breakfast timeish. Now, we traditionally breakfast at La Renaissance in Falaise, a decent run to warm the engine and always a great welcome and petit breakfast. We have never arrived in France on a Sunday before though and find that La Renaissance, regretfully, is not open on Sundays, can anybody suggest an alternative? Open on a Sunday morning, half decent food and service, not in but not too far from Caen though that's not a deal breaker, in the general direction of LM and off the main roads, oh - and parking where we can keep an eye on a well loaded and obviously 'tourists' car?

Any suggestions very welcome though I fear breakfast on the ferry looms.

To be honest, were Jamiroquai to play in my back garden I would likely close the curtains, as for paying to watch them ... ? Give me Shanka Ponk for free any day, they wouldn't clog the bloody trams up either ... b'ah humbug!

Going back to an earlier thread of mine about being board of Arnage town and how quiet it’s been, we found an English pub called the Rose and Crown in the centre of Le Lude run by an English couple that we will be frequenting this year instead.

Good call Sir! Not been to Le Lude but it looks well worth a visit, the wife and I will wander down for a look on one of our free days I expect.
