I've got that map in my LM folder! I wondered where I'd got it...
I've asked Gilles if he has the capability and time to annotate it with useful places for us, if so we should be able to load it up here for all to use.
Yes Smokie I've time (because unemployed at this time, any offer ??) and maybe (ask KPy to confirm) I have the capability... ... so what do you need on the map? just the supermarkets ?

I needed your help to find the Bayeux Tapestry, i am travelling down from Cherbourg and want to stop of at Bayeux if it is there. The internet tells me everything appart from where it is. Address or phone no. of the museum/building it is kept will help immensly. regards. Sorry Andy, people answer you too fast to me and they give you so bad feelings about the tapestry that you decide to change your trip... ... they're a lot of sweet places to discover along the trip... All the D-Day memorials (if there's only one, just go to the Memorial de Caen), the Musee du Camembert, livarot's factories, cider producers (not the insane welsh fermented apple juice I drank 2 days ago, the real one cider, not the kid's version),... ... all depending on interest of you and your passengers. What are you most interested in? Gilles

Local ADvice Use the shuttle by bus ! The buses have a specific itinerary to go faster to the circuit even when there's a traffic jam. That's a specific way or in French an "Itineraire Bis" and even I like all of you I'll never tell you the way the locals use

Hi all, a year already, need a wee bit help. does anyone know thw whereabouts of the new swimming pool. i believe the old one is now closed. thanks in advance weedeek
how do you know the old swimming pool is closed ?? Are you a British Spy? In this case just ask Q to give you an handy one ! Yes a new pool has opened, it's a little nearer from the circuit and it's more an aquatic fun center than simply a swimming pool. Do you want the itinerary to go to ?

Sorry but strikes aren't so planned...
... it's French unions so be sure you'll be their hostage one tim (at least) in your life.
Gonna try to look at their newsletters and rumors.
Strikes during the race is not excluded, almost during the week, probably not the week-end.
but in Le Mans we trust !

Ok, there's still a supermarket at Mulsanne...
... but the nearest from the general entrance is the Champion supermarket in Le Mans entrance.
You leave the track and drive to the city centre by the road ( Avenue du Docteur Jean Mac) on the left of the Expo center. You drive straight and 1 kms after you've got a Champion supermarket on your left.
For all of those who would like fresh food or buy ice, there's a market during the saturday morning just on the other side of the road.
For those you are afraid to such a complicate way, there's the "Marche Plus" 2 kms from the general entrance. Just drive into the Rue de Laigné, the supermarket is 2 kms on your left, just it's a little tinier and after you're just 500 meters from the Carrefour.
This year is opening a GPS (Gilles Positioning System) for everyone who could be lost in all the little roads. Just have a phone call and you'll arrive at destination by the simpliest way (just ask Kpy for PQ !!!)

No doubt someone will put me right...... Has there been any changes for the track this year both from a drivers point of view or spectators ? Darren ... the ACO decide, to make the race more attractive after 79 boring years, and despite a wonderful PQ, to make the cars drive in the other way !
