Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The Guide - where to next

I think there are two interrelated things here, the delivery method and the content.
I do believe in a future for the guide as a single place for valuable information not readily available elsewhere, and in particular to support new visitors to Le Mans. There is nothing else out there that covers the breadth or depth.
Clearly there are some great apps and web sites that offer face information including the teams, cars and drivers.
I propose that we continue to publish the guide and refresh it on a yearly basis, I suggest that we exclude information that is readily available and better served elsewhere such as teams cars and drivers.
I like a paper copy as it survives long days, poor pattern and bad weather, but I think that an app would be great. The key question is whether the app would hold the data locally or be kept on a server and called as required.
I'd like to hear CAers views on this proposal, in particular on the scope of the content.

And never leave home without full wet gear
And it's not over until it's over..
Quel age avez-vous? Vous êtes en train d'apprendre cela? I see you've been on CA five years so you have at least that many...sheessshhh!!! The rain? Ovals, you don't have to worry about it...you know it ain't happening. Any real racing (road courses) it's a given. The finish? Ain't that true about anything? Jim, Sorry, we don't do French stuff anymore, we're off.... A Can my passable French now be replaced by shouting and pointing? Steve Steve, It does. Well, apart from the time when we cash in those offshore investments we made a few days ago. A

So where do we take the guide?
Should the guide exist, or has it had its day? What is it that people like and don't like about it? What do people feel about the relatively high downloads and low donations? Who are we targeting with the guide?

How was the mud?
I saw what Arnage was like. Bad.
Houx was mostly OK, but very wet at the bottom of slopes.
Houx Annex I know had real problems because people were moved elsewhere.
But what were other people's experiences.

Hi!
For me, and Tristan Le Mans is a full-on emotional experience, even more so this year.
Apart from Friday, I don't drink much beer, so when I come home, that it what I lust after, but as its straight into work, it has to wait.
What do others do?

I cannot comment on the number of downloads, but the donations:
There were 15 (only) donations ranging from £4 to £23, giving a total of £204.02. The small change is due to the conversion of 3 euro donations. There may be the odd additional donation later, but it is unlikely.
This total compares (sadly) with £311 in 2014 and £338 in 2015.
