Ah Pete, I'm not really sure that I actually know what I'm missing as there's no resource to compare what I have to....

If you could take a few pics of what you have and send them to my website email, that'd be great.

I'll see what I can do. Currently about half way through photographing everything. Once completed I'll pop copies over.

You could try contacting cotswoldroadandrace - a seller on Ebay who specialises in Le Mans memorabilia.  I collect Le Mans tickets* and have bought those plus other vintage Le Mans items from Charles there.  He might make you an offer for the lot.

*If you have any tickets amongst the collection I may be interested, although I do have an extensive collection including 1993 to date, you may have some I don't have.

Hi Aysedasi, many thanks for you prompt response to this and the recommendation. I will make contact with cotswoldroadandrace

Took a quick look at your collection via the link you provided, my that is impressive! Feel free to let me know what you may have missing from the years I have mentioned and I'll see what I've got. No guarantees of course, but I have kept MOST of the tickets (encientes generales/tribunes) and contremarques etc. when used and managed to preserve most parking tickets too.

Best rgds,

Pete B.

Hi CAer's

As a regular attendee of the race since 1993 (barring 3 years when I couldn't attend) I have amassed a collection of programmes, guides, results packs, magazines previewing the event and post race reports, tickets etc. etc.  All of this material is in mint, or near mint condition (the packs sent out each year to ACO members has in fact never been opened). All this material is neatly segregated by year. The only items I intend to keep are the official copy of the poster for each year.

The time has now come for a clearout as I need the space.

Is there anyone on here who knows of a suitable outlet for all this? I have tried a couple of motorsport memorabilia sellers in the UK but no real interest, which was a little surprising. I've also attempted Ebay but the time required is considerable and no guarantee of success.

I don't really want to just recycle it all.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Pete B.

Remaining at home again this year Sad despite the ACO making it relatively easy to transfer tickets deferred from last year. Decided to get a refund.

Just too unpredictable, and had to make the decision a few weeks back whilst there was still quarantine and more onerous testing returning from France.

Will be interesting to see how it pans out for those that DO go!

Will set up the armchair, buy some appropriate food and drinks and watch the live stream whilst listening to RLM.

Roll on 2022 (fingers crossed)!!

Well, like a number of others on this thread we have decided that the published restrictions on 'villages', movement around the circuit etc., and all that that entails mean that we are pulling the plug on attending this year. First no show for us for the best part of 25 years. A real shame too as this was going to by my son's first ever trip over with us, but we want him to have the full experience.

I understand the ACO's approach and I sincerely hope that they can pull it off as it will help mitigate the inevitable losses that will be incurred. Things not looking too promising at the time of writing this as the UK govt. considering quarantine restrictions for people travelling back from France in the not too distant future...

We have, like others, managed to defer both our tickets (by means of credit note) and our ferry crossing has been rescheduled (yet again) to June of next year.

Here's hoping that things subside in time for a proper shindig in June 2021.

Agreed, superb stuff! Excellent production values and really brought back memories of last years 24LM in particular.

Good grief, has it really been 25 years!

A tasteful polo shirt would go down well here too.

Soon(ish). Last year was the middle of October, but no formal notification from the ACO just yet.

A quick Google found this:  https://www.bookmoto.com/mt-italy/travel-parking.htm, not very detailed but maybe more out there.

The link you have above is the only reference I have to it.

It is relatively recent so amazed it hasn't been published more. Maybe they only advise you once you become eligible.

Well, we more than qualify for eligibilty status (23 years) but have never heard anything about it from our friends at the ACO. As per Landy_Jon's comment I'll give them a call and report back here...
