I'll take 5 too.. cheque in the post.

Looks like you'll be spending a few hours licking envelopes next wekend then, that should make the vin rouge taste even better Wink

1112  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:CA Car Window Stickers on: May 29, 2003, 02:22:02 pm
I'd like to reserve a couple too.

I'm sure Wishywashyman would like to take a couple as well - he needs all the stickers he can get to keep The shed hanging together. Grin Grin

Are you out there Andy??
1113  Club Arnage / Help / Re:French strike action on: May 27, 2003, 02:39:13 pm
Does anyone know if there is strike action planned during the le mans period? Angry

As I fly to Paris then take the TGV to Le mans (flights & train already paid) any disruption could really **** up my plans.

The action could of course also effect ferries.

I made a similar plea during the last strike action. See thread 13/05/03. That one DID affect the ferries (i.e. hardly any sailings at all!!!).

Gilles replied that the French trades unions never did give any notice so looks like we'll have to trust to luck....

Hi pete

Perhaps as the weather is so bad your end of the country.Perhaps....you would like to offer to clean the Shed before we go.Not just polish but a complete valet.Cos I know you are so good at cleaning cars!!!!!

Andy

Sorry Andy there's only just over two weeks to go before the off.. not nearly enough time to clean up the Shed. Grin
1115  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / Re:half price general entry tickets on: May 24, 2003, 06:15:39 pm

1116  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Which Ferry are you on?? on: May 24, 2003, 06:08:25 pm
Portsmouth - St. Malo Wednesday 11th.

We'll be accompanying Wishywashyman who will no doubt be tending to his driveshafts and gaiters on The Shed during the crossing to ensure a trouble free?!?! run down to La Sarthe.

My mechanics son in law has a screen printing business,He might be intersted.
If it is any recommendation. He does all the printing for the Liberal Democrat Party.

Somebody has to....
1118  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Has anybody got there tickets yet???? on: May 24, 2003, 06:02:11 pm
It could be good news on the ticket front!!
My postman said to me yesterday "Have you got your tickets yet?".
"No! not yet"
"I have just delivered some to somebody round the corner"
So the moral to the story is that it appears they are on their way.
Mind you I have recieved my credit card recipt. So if the have not arrived by the time we go.Then we will collect them from the main ticket office.

all the best

Andy

Andy,

Are you sure that the postman didn't deliver your tickets to someone else i.e. round the corner??

Only joking  Grin Grin Grin
1119  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:GT Racing at Silverstone This Sunday on: May 22, 2003, 03:18:02 pm
Mine too..

Combe not much slower than Thrxcton but bumpier and trickier to drive. Much nicer clubby atmosphere too. Also the 'Facilities' as crap as those provided by our friends at the ACO. Makes me think wistfully of LaSarthe when using them. You know, holes in the ground, piles of s**t in the stand up squatters etc.. etc..
1120  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:GT Racing at Silverstone This Sunday on: May 22, 2003, 02:57:25 pm
Thruxton very quick, only problem is no spectator viewing at the really fast parts such as Village and Church corners - real shame that.

1121  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Any spaces / cancellations for this years Le Man?? on: May 15, 2003, 02:30:28 pm
Amazing. So descriptive.

I think I'll give up logging on and reading at lunchtime though. These egg mayo sandwiches have suddenly taken on a more sininster appearance. Now they look almost the same as those offered for sale by our friends at Brittany Ferries. Yeuch...
1122  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Am I the First? on: May 14, 2003, 05:53:52 pm
Sorry... should have been more specific. I only meant the last bit of the outward leg, i.e. from Carrefour/Super U/LeClerc (delete as appropriate) to campsite.
1123  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Am I the First? on: May 14, 2003, 02:32:44 pm
Surely the beer space is for the outward leg.............
1124  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Potential Travel Problems on: May 13, 2003, 04:08:54 pm
Seeing on the news today plenty of mayhem around all ports of entry into France, particularly the sea ports due to industrial action. What chance of a repeat performance by Les Activistes during the week we all travel over Huh

One for Gilles maybe???
1125  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:So, who is going in what? on: May 12, 2003, 02:48:27 pm
We'll be taking the Impreza as usual but to gain some credibility we will be joining up with Wishywashyman and crew who are taking The Shed (Renault Espace, zillions of miles on the clock and new gaiters on the CV joints to prevent imminent driveshaft failure Cheesy Grin).
