OK, this thread could go anywhere. You've all seen Letterbocks in Viz - or, if you haven't, go to http://www.viz.co.uk/letterbocks/thumbnails.htm and browse them to get the drift.

So give up those useful (and hopefully sometimes serious) tips which make your life easier at LM.

I have a corner in my office (I work from home) which is already filling with the gadgets and electronics I need to take, and a corner of the garage filling quickly with the "hardware" items.

Green card and additional insurance so Mark can drive arrived today, and is in an envelope (which I'll probably forget) with my passport and driving licence.

I predict this one will bring powermite out of the woodwork...

It seems that we are destined to go round in ever decreasing circles discussing the rights and wrongs of "profiteering", perceived or otherwise, when the discussion is purely academic as it is against the policy of this site.

So can we all kiss and make up, stop the personal stuff and leave this forum for those who just want to sell or buy tickets.

Simon, you know and, I hope, understand the stance of CA and its members towards profiteering on this site

What you do outside of CA is your business and it isn't for this website or its members to cast judgement on transactions carried on elsewhere. Neither will we allow it to become a place for a flame war over anything - after all, it isn't what people come here to read.

If you complete a transaction, as has been said elsewhere, it was by common consent so the buyer cannot really have much to argue about.

The bottom line is that we do NOT want CA to be seen to be promoting profiteering.

So you must be paying ACO membership. Which struck me as a good deal a couple of years back as it allows up to 6 (I think) camping passes and entry tickets, and if you required the full amount for your party you saved money before you even started (ACO membership being somewhere around £50).

Then you get the added benefits - (somewhat limited) breakdown cover in France, 10% discount on official ACO merchandise and access to the ACO members bar and facilities (for you and your family - strange how for these purposes only (!!)  my wife is male, about the same age as me, and so are my kids...still, we've never been refused entry)

However, membership gives you no preferential treatment when it comes to ordering your tickets apart from the price.

CA and its members are not seeking an apology, and probably aren't that interested in the credentials of your tickets, how you sell them, or even how much loss you might make on them.

All we ask is that you don't do it here.
