17  Club Arnage / 2012 / FOR SALE. 1 x Tertre Rouge, 2 x general admission on: April 20, 2012, 01:22:36 pm
For sale due to friends dropping out  Roll Eyes

1 x Tertre Rouge camping permit
2 x General Entrance tickets

If you haven't stayed on Tertre Rouge campsite before, take a read of the CA Guide for last year's race - I wrote the entry! Lovely small site, right next to track at TR corner, plenty of shade, loads of space left when arriving on Wednesday. This campsite is sold out

Someone on this forum helped me out with tickets years ago, so I'd rather reciprocate and sell this spare to a fellow CA'er rather than profit from ebaying it, although a case of beer once we're there would be appreciated  Grin

£288 -  priced at what I paid for them from Tickets-2-U.

Cheers, Rob

To supplement the ever excellent CA Guide, Andy Blackmore produces an excellent "all the cars on one sheet" guide

19  Club Arnage / 2013 / Re: Tickets wanted - Tertre Route x 1 please! on: January 14, 2010, 08:14:38 pm
Similar problem although my order went to the ACO as early as possible.
Managed to secure one via Tickets2U just before Christmas. They may still have a couple if you give them a call.

Cheers. Tickets 2 u have sold out of TR tickets, but in the end I've decided to spend a bit extra and bought the "package" deal from their sister company Travel Destinations (ferry plus camping plus entrance tickets). Rather more expensive but at least I've secured a ticket for 2010!

As of this morning Travel Destinations still 19 TR camping tickets left.

20  Club Arnage / 2013 / Tickets wanted - Tertre Route x 1 please! on: January 06, 2010, 07:51:48 pm
Having left it far too late as per usual tickets are getting very difficult to come by at the agencies.

I'm after a camping ticket for my favourite Tertre Rouge campsite (I wrote the blurb on the campsite for last year's CA Guide to LM)

If you've got a spare ticket that you can sell to me, please send me a PM.

Cheers, RobP

LM Spotters Guide from http://www.spotterguides.com out on 8th June - possibly a little late for some!

If it is the same quality as his ALMS, BTCC & F1 guides it looks like it'll be worth printing to accompany the CA Guide.

Werner

Just emailled some new words to update the Tertre Rouge campsite section - let me know if you don't get the email.

The pictures are a bit poor as I only had a mobile phone camera with me last year. Does anyone else have any better quality shots of this campsite?

23  Club Arnage / Help / Re: Heineken beer keg on: June 07, 2008, 10:06:41 am
I think I might take a gallon or two of Knight's cider - at approx £5/gal from the farm shop its cheaper than that fizzy stuff!

It'll probably doubly up nicely as petrol as well if we run out  Grin

25  Club Arnage / Help / Re: Rouen Maps on: June 05, 2008, 08:47:24 am
The main problem last year was the return leg with the queue around the junction of the A28 with the A13 - at the bottom of the the last map above. The "solution" (which could turn out to be just another traffic jam!) suggested was to exit from the A28 earlier - south of what is shown on the bottom map - and approach Rouen on the old N138.

However this is route is just as likely to get jammed! I've been in similar situations before  - Hit queue on M6 north of B'ham. Off on to the A34. Hit queue. Off on to some B road. Hit queue. Off on to side road .... etc etc... Before you know it you driving down a farm lane with grass down the middle! Which then crosses over the motorway on a bridge. Only for you to look down and see a free flowing motorway. Tomtom makes it too easy to get into this pickle.

However - I encourage everyone to turn off the A28 (and I'll stay on it and fly through the peages  Evil )

If you're still looking for volunteers, I'll do Tertre Rouge - it'll be nice to be able to help out and give something back after getting so much useful info from this forum and the previous CA guides to LM.

27  Club Arnage / General Discussion / A28 Autoroute "Special Offer" - more news on: May 19, 2008, 08:49:54 am
More news on the offer announced above "A28 LE MANS 24H RACE SPECIAL OFFER"

I emailled them to see if a credit card payment was a possibility. It isn't!

They did suggest payment by direct bank transfer, if anyone can really be bothered ... Even if you take up the offer, wouldn't you still be stuck in the A28 queue along with everyone else at the peages?

Thanks for the offer, but the rest of us are in Tertre Rouge, so we'll probably go for the Parking Rouge option and squeeze an extra tent in on out campsite pitch

Cheers, Rob

Robp,

I have a spare Beausejour ticket if your mate wants it
PM me if you do
