"Good morning Mr P, were you thinking about reinsuring your MG Midget with us again this year?  Because it expires tonight at midnight..."

Ooooops

Almost another 'out of time' experience

"But I've had no reminders miss, have you stopped sending them out?"

"No sir we sent you two reminders by your email company, better check your 'Spam box'. We are trying to go paperless office here"

So I checked my email inboxes (both of 'em) and no sign of anything from them ever

I rang back and asked what email they were using

"MrPerdu@btinternet.com"

Doh

I changed email and broadband suppliers years ago but they lost my notification

"Yes we have been migrating stuff across to new servers..."

Good job they give me UK and Continental breakdown service or I might be looking elsewhere soon enough Angry

They are sending me paper work as well as the emailed stuff

Anyway, this is a timely reminder service from Perduthedope@someothersupplier.com

Don't get caught out

Rusty where are you?

Landman thank you for this, cheers

I'm hooked and now I want to tell Russ to put me in for one in XL, it's another fine classic

I wish I could get that facething to work for me  but it doesn't like me any more than I like it   Embarrassed

You would have been OK in Peterborough Aricus

They have a lovely Wilco full of loads of things you might be able to use  Sad

Dead handy for the multi storey too

One of the worst times I can remember was when I found that 25/05/2015 meant it 'expires today'

Glad you're sorted

here's to that French field   Grin

I know there's to be a race next month, on a track near some fields where thousands of us won't be trying too hard to get any sleep

I know there is but these days the pre LM experience in here is almost totally dead Sad

In days of yore these threads were abuzz prior to that event, nowadays it's kinda dead

Is it cos I am unable to get my head into those tweetery places of ill repute?

I haven't seen anything to tell me whether Rusty, The Brethren and of course Big Irta will be around

Is there to be another wondrous Brethren Tee Shirt?

Can I have one?

Will there be clowns, please bring on the Scary Clowns

Will there be Doris?  Kiss

Or is Madame Sin out boating across briny wastes?

Or treading  the fruit of the twice trod vine?

You see? In the good old days (cue Leonard Sachs) we'd have known all this months ago

It used to be fields round here... With a race track...   Sad

Still I did get to enjoy Peterborough shopping centre while I waited

Probably the only one who does Wink

Rapid passport replacement is not a stress anyone needs

That may p o s s i b l y be a slightly massive exaggeration   Shocked

I hope to need at least one more in my term 'down here'

 Smiley

No way will I let it fade un-noticed again  Sad

Oh err.... Better get my passport renewed Undecided
Ouch, that was me last year

I never need that much stress in my life again

Still I did get to enjoy Peterborough shopping centre while I waited

Sad

Good luck

I can't imagine you without that bike

Or some bike

I don't have a scooby where I will be*, no doubt Gary will tell us when he knows but there's often a spare chair in one of the Spridgets  Wink

* hopefully not too far away from a certain large green and black vehicool

See you there Tom

Keep yer chin UP

Missed it (deliberately) last year and guess we'll do the same this year.

Is Mulsanne a worthy alternative?

I was a happy passenger with Garyfrogeye a couple of years ago and we popped in to Mulsanne after escaping the St Sat traffic jam

It looked equally welcoming (as St Sat) and just a bit less over whelming

I think I'd be happy to pass my afternoon there

Even if it rains, my Midget has a soft top that erects (har har) in very few seconds

Odd

I have to say I always get it on 447 on DTV

Is the Freeview service that different?

And can you not try 447 outside your Freeview system?

Must admit all this modern stuff overwhelms me often

Frequently

What ever happened to BBC1 and ITV?

Sad

EDITED TO ADD

Oh bugger

I'm NOT getting it on DTV but on Sky so that's a slap in the face  I'm owed

Keep it gentle or wait til I am well clowned
