Guys........

One of our group applied for his new passport a tad late, and won't be receiving it until Tuesday next week.

As we are travelling out this Sunday, I wondered if anybody has a spare seat and is passing through Hampshire on their way to the ports on Wednesday or later?

Ah...The old village and fairground and the numerous changes to the track.....

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing, but at the end of the day none of us like change, and unfortunately even though we travel out to the Sarthe for the race every year(Me since 1998),we are just part of the overall packagk and the ACO have to make sure the race continues after us, and if it means that they bring in the "Fat Cats" to finance it ......they will regardless of what and how we feel in the way we/have are treated.

There are so many reasons why we return each year.......Over the past 17 years I have met ,socialised,partied,commiserated,laughed and even watched a race sometimes, but to me it is the camaraderie and the friendships we all make due to visiting a field in France for one week of the year and hopefully health and age permitting I will continue visiting the hallowed ground until "him up there" decides to switch the lights out

Bought a gas heater for the tent lastv weekend|

Looks like it might be OK for the race on Saturday according to Accuweather.......1C at night and 15C during the day and no rain for Saturday

But at least the Corvettes will be thundering around the track as usual....so no sleep for those of us on MB

Marius. I think we should have a kitty to cover the food for the weekend. I reckon about 10- 15 euros each should cover it, plus we need to contribute some cash to Bob for making the curry as it's only fair, as 20 portions or so of curry don't come cheap?.......especially with transport costs

After our foray to Zolder last August for the 24 hours......it would be best for one of our members not to visit "Grimbergen",as his metabolisim suffers when partaking in the ale!!!

We should arrive in convoy around 3pm on Friday with provided there are no accidents round the Brussels ring road to slow us down;D

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter a few times over the years but even whilst he was having his treatment, he still had time to give me kind words via PM after my accident in 2010 even though his needs were probably greater than mine at the time....R.I.P Peter
