Yeah I hear there is a great article on the Corvette history at Le Mans in the current Road and Track.  Check out the author if you get a chance.

Believe me, if I lived in England I would volunteer in a hot seccond.  But shipping from the US might be a bit expensive for you Europeans.  Especially for a meer shirt.

Ok, here are my thoughts on this subject.  I think one person should handle all of the merchandise.  This makes things easier.  I will build a Merchandise section to the Club Arnage website.  Whoever decides to run the section will be in charge of setting up the manufacture, starting a PayPal account, and shipping the items when there is a order placed.

I think that we should concentrate our efforts on three or less different kinds of products to start out with.  I also think that we should set up a pre order system to offset some of the initial costs.  Everybody who pre orders will get %10 off or something like that.  We can take pre orders for 2-4 months and then start the manufacture process.  After that, orders can be shipped as quickly as they can be placed.

All we need to decide is what products to offer and who will run it.

Ahh, a fellow karter.  Hey if you ever make it to Los Angeles, look me up and we'll go karting.  That goes for anyone else on the board too.

As you guys may or may not know, the Club Arnage team has been producing the english side of the ACO website (www.lemans.org) for the last two years.  It's been a real learning experience for all of us and we have had a lot of fun doing it.  We have BIG plans for next year if we can find the budget.  This is where you come in.

The ACO needs to hear that you like the site since we took over and that you want more.  So drop them an e-mail or call them at:  aco@lemans.org  Be sure to include any suggestions you guys might have.

We really appreciate your support.  See you next year.

If you have a copy of Photoshop 5 or abouve, you can create a batch to do any operation you like including resizing.  It works like a tape recorder.  Just push reccord to and go through the steps.
27  Club Arnage / So You Think You Know About Le Mans / More than one win, Same Car on: May 19, 2004, 11:43:09 pm
How many times did the same car (same chassis number) win more than one year. Which cars and which years?
28  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Le Mans 2004 on: May 19, 2004, 10:51:53 pm
I've gotten a few e-mails about me going  this year, so I thought I'd lay it out here for you.  It looks like I will not be going due to money issues.  I think the ACO/Club Arnage deal is greatly scaled down this year, and I would try to make it on my own but my racing schedule this year has me spending more money than I have. (For all you Americans watch for me on Speed Channel's coverage of the CART Stars of Tomorrow)

So short of a great miracle, I will be watching the greatest race of them all from the comfort of my own couch.  Rest assured I will still maintain the boards during this time.  Have a good time everybody and I'll see you next year.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you guys ever read American Grand Prix Racing?  Not a shameless plug for my father's book, but instead, I wonder how many of you guys in other countries have gotten copies or would even be interested in American GP drivers.  BTW  his next book will be American Sports Car Racing.
