31  Club Arnage / 2015 / Start/Finish Grandstand tickets required. on: May 31, 2015, 03:08:29 am
Looking for 2 tickets - not fussed about which grandstand, but looking for Start/Finish straight.
Thanks folks.
32  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Drones - just a thought? on: April 29, 2015, 04:02:46 pm
Just wondered if anyone had plans for taking stills or video from a drone during the race weekend.
Obviously, there are dangers with drones being over the track, but to be track side of the fencing and getting vantage points from otherwise prohibited locations would be interesting.
Not condoning it, as I assume its against some French law, but hey, so is speeding ;0)

Good to hear you're still alive and kicking guys!
Will look out for you this year.
34  Club Arnage / General Discussion / What happened to DfH? on: April 18, 2015, 01:48:46 am
I know that things have changed over the years, but what's the story with Paddy, Langtall, Dirk and all the other DfH guys?
They were a big part of this site for years - is anybody still in touch with them?
35  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Top Gear on: March 21, 2015, 01:48:50 am
I keep seeing appeals to support a petition for Steve Coogan, as Alan Partridge to present it.
Top Gear is a comedy show now, so this might work. The other 2 continuing to play "the straight man" to Coogan/Partidge, funny man.

Coogan loves his cars, so he would seem to qualify.

Chris Evans? Not "dry" enough, I guess.

I don't know.........It's pointless, irrelevant and puerile. It still makes me laugh sometimes though. Yes, they do seem to have run out of ideas too. However, the Transfargarasan Highway episode was great. If they could make more like that.........I actually learnt something there.

It would be a shame to see it go, but it's probably reached the end of its life.

Anyway, John, how the devil are you?
36  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Friends staying in Team Langoustine on: February 13, 2015, 02:46:49 am
Hi Nigel. I presume you mean the enclosure at Tertra Rouge? Last year we went in there for a beer. Mentioned Andy Mac's (Team Langoustine) name and that we had bought tickets from him to security and they let us in with no problem. Andy did say one night whilst collecting tickets that we were welcome to drop by for refreshments.
Hi Bob,

yes, they are staying at the in field of Tetre Rouge. I'll try your tactic!!

Cheers,

ND.

Some of my pals are staying here.
I'm staying off circuit, but will have a GA ticket - can I get access to their location?

Is the P word what they refer to on PH as 3.14's or something, coming from civilised Guernsey ( Grin ) I really am not sure what this is all about. I do know what a Pikey is... oops. Is that not PC?

>Martini...LB
Yes. 3.14 (Pi) k's

Tenuous, but it seems to be this years catch phrase!

I feel that I am amongst friends!

Sat here, with continual text updates, Facebook status reports, phone calls and my imagination doing overtime!!!
My mother in laws 70th birthday party tomorrow will be, I fear, a poor replacement for the Tetre Rouge bar, the Guinness tent and the Champagne Bar.

Well there we go guys. 2014 will pass, without us all. None the worse for it, I'm sure.
We just have to make sure that we get back there with a renewed enthusiasm, in 2015.
41  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Brethren T-Shirt 2014…. on: June 11, 2014, 01:08:29 am
Rusty,

this years shirt arrived yesterday.
I have to say, it's a thing of shear beauty! As you said, the detail is superb.
Proud to wear it tonight to the local brewery open evening!!

Cheers again and thank you.

44  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Liber-T - useful new service for the Brits on: March 02, 2014, 06:33:27 pm
Just used one for a trip to the Alps.
Well worth it, just to beat about 150 cars at the toll plaza on the way back, in the knowledge that you'll be at the tunnel check in, before them.
45  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Sebring 2014 on: January 12, 2014, 03:38:25 am
It's on the radar.
Just won't know until quite late, maybe around mid March.

I had my first trip booked about 6 or 7 years ago, but it got scuppered, so I'm looking to make amends.
