31  Club Arnage / Help / Entrance/access Arnage camping/spectator banking on: November 09, 2023, 07:37:59 pm
Has anybody camped recently at Arnage?
To access Arnage viewing area do you have to leave camping by the main entrance/exit and use the main entrance into the viewing area?
Or is there another entrance to the viewing area further into the campsite?

Just seen this on one one the ticket agencies:

'Prices are based on 2023 plus any ACO inflation increase'

I imagine there will be a few surprised customers Grin

They could of course make these campsites a lot more popular if the built a viewing area along the Mulsanne which  the public could use with a GA ticket.
Say in that field under where it says Poste 10Bis.
But would be far to sensible for the ACO.

Just noticed there's a Thai restaurant off the Mulsanne.
Anybody ever tried it?

Arnage!
Great place to be and there's always the shuttle buses for trips to get to MB>Tetre Rouge area

Will probably confine myself to Arnage and Mulsanne.
Haven't done these areas for years, need to make amends.
Suits my mobility issues as no long walks and saves me the outrageous cost of T17 which is about the only place I could base myself in the main straight area.
Bit tired of watching cars going in a straight line!!!!
ACO's promises of providing an inclusive experience for people with disabilities was an absolute disaster, no shuttles from one of the disabled car parks and a very patchy service from the disabled car park near the tram station, they left several people stranded during the weekend.

By the time you find some passes your thrown out ridiculous

Odd, got my camping & GA, went back to look at something else, got timed out but it left me in the sales section, didn't throw me out.

And yes, I did cave in and decide to go. But I came up with a cunning plan which meant that I didn't need a Tribune ticket to cover my mobility issues or be on one of the expensive campsites!
37  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Question re Arnage and Mulsanne on: November 06, 2023, 07:07:07 pm
Were there big screens at both these spectator areas in 2023.
And is there still food and drink at both locations?

Bleu Nord is being used for camping at the bike 24.
Cost? 20€!
Ever felt you were being screwed?

Anyone know where Prairie and Cormier will be located?

Probably somewhere near Ecommoy.
42  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Aco members benefits on: November 04, 2023, 01:21:11 am
I'm confused (no change there then)  We use an agency, as the ACO never had much for sale.  We now want to change campsite to one nearer the Tribunes.  If we can, probably 3 of our geriatrics will want to come, so we'll need more pitches, which we probably won't be able to get.

This has been a nightmare for 30 years  Cry

Good luck with that plan, all the sites near the tribunes don't exist anymore and the increase in camping pitch prices direct from the ACO, even with members discount, are eye watering, agency prices are going to be extremely painful.
After 21 years attending I'm bailing out, don't like the piss taken out!!!!
It's nearly cheaper to go to Sebring!
So sad!

Found this on the ACO website, confirms our concerns:

'To ensure that as many people as possible have a chance of using the camping areas, the number of tickets is limited to 3.'
Does anyone understand the logic of this?

Is it just to devalue ACO membership?

I think it's just to discourage large groups of the great unwashed from going.
Got to make room for the beautiful people who couldn't give a f*ck about sportscar racing.
They've got F1itus.
3 seems very old number though, even for the ACO, why not 4?
Which would be far more sensible.
44  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Get ready to be shafted! on: November 03, 2023, 03:33:51 pm

Prehaps the only thing stopping me giving up is the chance of some close racing with the Hypercars.

With all the difficulties with tickets and the price, if it was still an Audi or Toyota procession I wouldn't think twice about not going, however good the other classes of racing were.

There is also the other issue for next year which may have encouraged the ACO to wack up the prices and think they can get away with it.
In one word: Rossi.
