Aysedasi, a name I recognise from 10ths. Howdy and welcome to CA

See you there. I'll be the idiot putting up a tent in a snow blizzard like last year.
Not only was I camping last year too, I was stood out in the snow! Not this year though

While i liked the Silverstone September race, I do like the April one more. The mix with ELMS makes it unique

A couple from an early morning trek to Westminster

Hoping that shoes, black trousers, white shirt, tie, braces and a flat cap will do for the dress code.
Sounds like a grand outfit.

AirBnB, I forget about them. Bon Chance

Sadly this close you will struggle to get to stay closer than Southampton.

Have you got something to dress up in? While not a requirement, those who don't do stand out.
Have a great time, I do wish I was going
38  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Goodwood revival on: September 01, 2016, 01:17:37 pm
Sadly not, but hoping to be there for all 3 days again next year

Nope. I dropped out when they went for Minis with mid-engines and big tea trays on the roof. I'm sorry, but the Scarf and Goggles used to be the centre of real conversation in the day, but they got rid of it, like so many things.

I much preferred the older version too, when it was the "Coys historic festival", the current bunch of organisers just seem to be in it to make a lot of money for themselves...

We went last year cos we won a couple of Saturday passes, but won't be going this year. I used to love historic/classic racing but once I'd done it for many years on end I realised I was just seeing the same cars every time,  of course there is no evolution in historic racing!

I'll probably go back to it a few years time when the LMP900/675's re-appear along with the full fat GT1's.

Ferrari 333, Pescarolo both slated to be in the 90s Legends this year. Although not a race, JV tries to find more for each year. That and the Group Cs are the draw for me

Ian, see you on Sunday. Gary, I'm guessing you'll be with the Frogeye display??

Your best bet is to post on Ten-Tenths in their marshals section. Many LM marshals post there

Anyone here going? Group C race into sunset on Saturday. 90's GTs (Porsche GT1, Lister Storm etc) Classic F1,Touring cars and Super Tourers. Classic World GP Bikes

Definitely my kind of Mad "insert day here"
43  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The Guide - where to next on: July 10, 2016, 09:30:34 am
This is a great idea but IMO should be done for the love of it, and not let it become a chore for people.

You wouldn't need to have masses of detail on everywhere from day 1. I reckon you could just extend it to give an overview of the series and only put detail where people have it to hand

Agree, for the fun and not a chore, which is why if some information is put forward now, we can start sorting the information - Is why I'm willing to do some of the preliminary, see what we may need. It will be easier that way. I don't think we're talking about a guide as big as the LM one, but along the Handy Hints/campsite/where to eat.

Arriving? It's been going on for years.
The Arabs come over for the summer, bring their supercars, and then hoon around Chelsea and Kensingston at all hours and all kinds of stupid speeds like its a game of Need for Speed. Not good for the locals, and finally the police are starting to do something
45  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The Guide - where to next on: July 07, 2016, 01:51:17 pm
Werner and I were discussing the guide at Spa this year, and one thought was to make it more than a Le Mans guide. We have the readership with hopefully the local knowledge. Why not reduce the LM availability, and open up - perhaps on a basic level to the rest od the WEC? Certainly more UK based members want to head to the Nurburgring.

Jason,

I am very interested in this idea.  I think that we can provide the insight on Silverstone, Spa and Nurburgring.  Do you think that we can cover the others including Mexico, Austin, Fuji, Shanghai and Bahrain?

Aricus

It is possible, IF we know people who have/will be going to get information from them. Thankfully we're not just a UK site, so wondering if some of the North America members could feed information???

Am willing to do some preliminary work on Silvers/Spa - there are quite a few CAers who do Spa every year, so perhaps start. I'll be at the Silverstone Classic if you want to discuss/move this along?
