61  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: WEC SPA: RACING, BEER AND BELGIUM CHIPS! on: May 16, 2016, 01:54:51 pm
Barry, no tolls going to Spa anyway.

Motorin', the trek to Spa is tedious, I'll give you that. But with a couple of breaks for food, and a shopping stop, it isn't too bad although going via Lille/Mons/Liege is a much nicer journey.

Sounds like a great trip, and I presume you'll both be more organised for next year.

Spa is perfectly placed for the Belgians, Germans, Dutch and French as for most it is a 2 hour drive to the track for them

Drop Rusty a PM on here with your order, he should get it
63  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: soon be June on: May 09, 2016, 03:12:48 pm
We were chatting about this at Spa at the weekend, it seems there is a 3 week (or so) cycle of build up, then goes again. Most of us chat on farsebook these days, which has in it's way killed off a lot of fora

Rusty has to my knowledge been planning a Tshirt, and the Bretheren with Irta will be at BN as usual.

Still I did get to enjoy Peterborough shopping centre while I waited

Probably the only one who does Wink

Rapid passport replacement is not a stress anyone needs

Competition to Britcars' Prototype series?

Anything that gets the cars out and racing can only be good. Hopefully this won't dilute the potential runners

Fantastic shots Kristof, and a fabulous weekend (apart from the snow)

Don't forget to update the CA Guide with these links

Good stuff Chris. Am a media tog at the Classic, so let me know where you'll be parked, and if out in a parade

Chris, what's the car? As Jon says, speak with its car club

Great race.  I missed Saturday but then I'm not keen on snow!

Wasn't fun being on post in it either

Neither as photographer ... stood at the entry of village, waiting for cars that wouldn't come out.
Should have gone to the pits instead  Angry
You could have hidden in a garage then Smiley Oh wait, togs were banned from the garages! Sad

Was chatting with the team at Silverstone at the weekend, and I was able to observe one of Freds driver changes.

He may not be the fastest of drivers, but he is dedicated. A great way of getting him in/out - a scaffold pole with strops looped so he can be lifted in/out under the armpits. He steers via a modified prosthetic right arm, it has (what looks like) a gas pipe connector grafted on, and he literally plugs into a steering rod. Amazing

It's always hard going through someone elses stuff, I'm sorry you find yourself doing this.
I would definitely suggest a 3 pile system. I Will keep, I might keep (then be ruthless with a 2nd look) and I'm not keeping.

Have you spoken with your family, see if anyone wants any of it?
Perhaps list them here and have a PM auction to raise some money for the CA charities?
