Club Arnage / General Discussion / Houx electrical hook ups
|
on: May 18, 2022, 02:15:12 pm
|
Afternoon all, our group are camping at Houx for the first time after the demise of Maison Blanche. We understand that sites each have electrical hook ups, good some experienced Houx'er (that doesn't sound too good) let us know if the hook ups are the same as in the UK or will adaptors be required? Many thanks. Barry

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Epinettes - advice please?
|

An early happy Christmas to you all.
It seems an eternity since we were at LM in June 2019, pray to the racing gods that Covid does one and lets us all back properly. I've currently got the lurgy, though apart from exhaustion and no interest in beer (!!!) I trust the triple jabs will tell it to clear off fairly soon.
With Maison Blanche now being used as a paddock next year, our group of 30 odd are looking after 25+ years at alternative campsites. We've been offered plenty of space on Epinettes, though know little about it. Could some kind person share some info' about it please? We ideally want an electrical hook up (TV, fridges, and most important beer pumps and chiller) rather than lug generators down. Is it possible to drive in and out of the site from Wednesday to Monday and access local roads fairly easily. I understand it has pretty good drainage and decent latrines and showers.
Many thanks. Barry

Club Arnage / 2017-18-19 / Maison Blanche camping & GA available

Hi Folks Despite the rapidly improving weather in France our group are a few chaps down on expected. I have one, arguably two, Maison Blanche camping passes going spare, each has 2 x GA tickets. A camping pass and 2 x GA cost us £337 from the agency we use. The location is our usual one so we know it is good (in the main entrance, head 2 o'clock toward the track). Happy to share the use of our fridges and more importantly our bar, within reason (dramatically cheaper than the 8-9 euros per glass at the circuit!). I'm in France/Monaco for about 10 days from Thursday 24th May, with a temperamental voicemail account. Feel free to phone but probably good to email/WhatsApp/test as well. Have a great 24 heures du Mans. Barry 07710 762118 barryrussell62@yahoo.co.ukPLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TICKETS HAVE NOW BEEN TAKEN. Good luck to all who are looking for tickets.

Greatal, remarkably I have at least 1 spare MB camping pitches with 2 x GE. With a good chance you could nick some space off the rest of our 12 pitch plot. If you are still looking give me a call asap (07710 762118). Also barryrussell62@yahoo.co.ukCouple of words of warning, - I bought them through our usual contact (Paul at Just Tickets) so they are agency priced (I think £298 for 1 pass and 2 GE). - We are a large group of 20+ with a marquee, music and bar. Pleasant enough folk, but possibly not who you want to be next to if you want total peace and tranquility (we have met them in the past). - I'm off to Monaco on Friday away for 10 - 12 days (in touch via phone and email) so cannot post them before my return. BTW I'm South London based and arriving on site early Weds 10th. Regards Barry

We are a crowd of 22(ish) this year with a big plot, at what we think is pretty much the best part of MB (near the track '1 O'Clock' from the main entrance). We have a reasonable set up with a marquee, satellite TV, music, fridges and freezers, oven, barbeque, shower with running hot water etc. Though the best bit is our latest addition of lager and cider on tap, with a proper cooler etc. There is generally very good nosh, Scuddy is no stranger to a knife and fork - and does a superb full English breakfast. Evelyn is far daintier and makes wonderful salads. We live well, though vegetarians probably wouldn't enjoy it. Generally those who can, chip in with the cooking/washing up etc.
We are down a few on numbers compared to our plans and could offer accommodation and use of our facilities (or fully join in) to a few decent folk who would fit in well. We span from 25yr old to the over 60s. Primarily chaps but a couple of lovely ladies with us. Some real petrol heads, some a lot less. Not a bunch of vicars, but not unpleasant either. Pink Floyd is not permanently on, but an appreciation of it will enhance your experience.
For a general admission ticket, plenty of room to camp and to be part of the set up, we have all put in £200. We are happy to offer the same to a few suitable others. Any 'profit' we make is always used to substidise our spend on food/drink, this would obviously apply to anyone who wanted to join us. We always find there is plenty of parking near to our tents.
BTW I'm off to France 22 - 30 May for the Monaco GP for a week, if you call/post then, I will get back to you but it might take a few hours and I may not be too coherent.
Feel free to give me a call for a chat if this is of interest, otherwise I hope you have a superb one.
Cheers! Barry - 07710 762118

Club Arnage / 2011 / 2 X Masion Blanche + 5 GA for Sale
|
on: May 12, 2011, 12:17:18 pm
|
Due to several last minute drop outs we now have the following tickets up for sale.
Bought through ‘Just Tickets’ last year and am selling at cost: 2 adjacent MAISON BLANCHE pitches at £110 each. The pitches are P22 & P23. This is our usual spot since pitches have been numbered and is the ‘more convenient’ end of MB (assuming the ACO haven’t b*ggered about too much!). Near to the track and grandstands.
Plus
5 General Admission at £71 Each.
Each MB Camping pass will be sold with 2 General admission tickets (£242 for the package). The fifth GA ticket is available half price £35. We will cover the cost of posting etc.
All postage costs are included and will be sent out by Special Delivery and fully insured.
Please be aware we are a group of 15 with a TV, generator, music, bar etc. Far from unpleasant, but not librarian quiet either!
I want to move these on quickly so they will be going on eBay after the weekend.
Call for more info’ if required – 07710 762118

I have a couple of GAs for sale. I can either post them for next day delivery (we leave early Weds) or meet me there (we will be on Maison Blanche).
Any sensible offers?

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Campsite Theft - BE AWARE !!!

Oh and whilst I'm getting wound up, the incident where the lad was opening the awning was reported straight away to the one security bloke on duty as the culprit was still aroung. The security bloke did'nt give a toss and said the police would'nt be interested as it was on private land. The annoying thing is, and I hope your reading this ACO, was up to and including Friday night the security was in heavy handed largely grouped form rearding pitches and parking your car over the white line. As soon as race day came there was only one on MB and all he did was guard the Peugeot compound tents at the top of MB.
In eight years of Le Mans MB we have never encountered any problems. This year they have massively increased 'securite' for the first few days (up to Thursday) and then the scumbags seem to have had a free range. One of our party lost a set of binos whilst out of their tent on Saturday night, the same night two separte tents were robbed whilst occupied. Another tent received an attempted entry whilst matey was 'otherwise engaged with a friend of the opposite gender' and sadly before he could get his strides on and acquire a decent 'object' the thieving turd had made off. If the ACO want to apply security (which we approve of) then it should not just be to administer pitches. Maybe a universal CA network will need to be established in future if the ACO cannot/are not prepared to act.
