You should be able to move the Ferry crossings to next year, Brittany have opened up next summers sailings already.

Yep, another Brexit non bonus  Roll Eyes
Still, at least we get duty free now, not sure how much difference that will make though.

Yes - Indeed - they might well have staggered them to avoid being overwhelmed.
Not like they had an extra year to sort themselves out! Grin Grin Grin

We are in Oxfordshire and ours arrived Tuesday I think it was. Other friends received theirs on Wednesday.
You'd think they had only just started running a 24 hour race by how disorganized they are!

There won't be any camping inside the circuit, just Blue Nord, Houx Annex and Epinettes I believe.  Once they are gone that's it.
However, those of us that had a credit note against last years race, which included in circuit camping (we had Mulsanne) will have been offered one Blue Nord.  If not everyone takes up the offer then those will go back on general sale.  I have been offered Blue Nord but won't be taking it, so that's at least one that will become available!

Hi Geoff,

Could I ask how you received notification please? (Email or Post?) - as I have not received any communication from ACO about ours yet?

Thanks
Dean

It came in the post, you'd have thought they would have used email, but heyho they are French!

I've emailed them to update my booking, especially as I was expecting two GA's on it, I think they seem to have forgotten that they said that anyone with a credit note for a Grandstand seat or parking would get one GA per seat or two per parking by default if they hadn't ordered GA's originally!

Not heard back yet of course!

That's good to hear, post Le Mans attendance will be most important , & if it gains momentum before the poss numbers of manufacture LMDH arriving even better  Wink

I think they have already said they won't be doing the two flyaways as they don't sell cars in those parts of the world.

And broke completely, they will have another go tomorrow!

Thankfully we have credit notes from last year so our tickets are already sorted  Grin

54  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Glickenhaus WEC on: May 17, 2021, 09:37:49 am
Couldn't agree more, he had extra time to get his cars built too, so should have been ready with at least one for the start of this, delayed, season!
Plus, this season is, probably, his only chance of getting some podiums, with Peugeot returning next year and then Audi, Porsche and Ferrari, after that.

Time will tell of course, but the chances are Glickenhaus will turn out to be another ByKolles or Ginetta, sadly.  All credit to the guy for giving it a go but I think he under estimated the work (and cost) involved by some margin... Especially if he wants to be competitive.

We had a Chimenea blazing away at Mulsanne back in 2019, and when I say blazing, we had flames a couple of feet if not more out of the top! No one from security batted an eyelid.

Confirmed then, August 21/22.
No mention of test day.

On Instagram, the answer to the test day question was the 15th Aug.
57  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: New date for the race? on: March 04, 2021, 03:54:01 pm
Schedule to be announced at the end of April.  I would image it will either be the same as last September, or they will keep it the same as it was planned for June, i.e. the Test day being on the 15th Aug.
Time will tell.

Entry list due to be announced next Tuesday I see, I presume the delay is to give any teams the chance to opt out due to the date change.

Ferry rebooked at no extra cost  Grin

I'm more of the view that the rumoured (and it is just that at the moment) date change is to allow for a crowd of some description, with June certainly having to be behind closed doors.

The ACO won't want to have to refund all of those credit notes it raised after last year, let alone not get any revenue this year.
59  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Ferrari in lmh on: February 25, 2021, 09:28:08 am
Yup, 2023 LM looks like it will be a race not to miss Grin
60  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: UK Lockdown III on: February 02, 2021, 01:58:32 pm
Whilst I fully doubt we'll be allowed to go in June, I could see the race being delayed again if the ACO feel there is a chance that a crowd of some sort would be allowed to go at a later date. If that's not the case then I, also, expect a behind closed doors event in June.

I doubt the classic will happen this year unless enough restrictions are removed, i.e. we can go in June.

I guess the other option is to move the 24 to the Classic dates if they feel that they could allow a crowd for a summer event, mind you it is only a few weeks after the 24.

Too many variables involved at the moment though!

I think the April date for ticket sales (or not) is based on the May cutoff for refunds for credits held over from last year.
