The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as 'Euro-English'.
In the first year, 's' will replace the soft 'c'. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard 'c' will be dropped in favour of 'k'. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome 'ph' will be replaced with 'f'. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent 'e' in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing 'th' with 'z' and 'w' with 'v'.
During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary 'o' kan be dropd from vords kontaining 'ou' and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.
If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: rumours rumours glass bottles banned inside circuit

We had no probs getting into MB, no search, nothing. Business as usual. This was a feeble attempt to ban alchohol from the venue by the mayor. I can only hope he came to his senses and won't try to pull a stunt like this again next year. But I am affraid that next year it will state on the tickets not to bring beer in glass or cans or other alchoholic beverages onto the circuit and campsites. Pretty much like it already is with the moto24. If that happens, I shall go to Sebring from then on!

Seems to me they need to shake down a lot off that car to make it quick. Maybe they should shake out the engine and replace it with something sensible, an old audi diesel perhaps?

Isn't that Kronos racing AM run by MarcVDS racing. They basically got a shitbox, the only thing good about that car was the chassis, but everything else was worn out and had to be replaced. I wonder if that is going to have an effect on its running speed and endurance!

It all depends where you gas-up so to say. I payed 1.52 euro/liter for UL95 at a shell station in Hasselt. Around Spa, all stations marked up the prices, cause they get away with it. Diesel is 1.31 at the same pump I get my petrol. A little bit more then in France, but a lot less then in Holland!
And yes, Andy is right, Total in belgium, only sell the premium petrol and diesel, at least at all the stations I have been so far.

The weather was great today. Tomorrow and sat. bring sunscreen, it is going to be warm. Sneaked in to the pitlane just before practice got underway, pretty cool spot to, just next to the audi pitbox. No admitance today which was great as my tickets had not arrived yet. Luckily I got a spare one at the accreditation center.
Campingwise, I would like to suggest P3, nice shady area, just head for P1 and take a right into the forrest area. We will be there around 10 am, will scout the area, if it is to full around the time you guys arrive, we can always go to P2, which has a nice grassy flat area, with plenty space today for cars and tents.
We will meet you there, just give us a ring when you get close!
