Sorry Smokie, the MB laptop went tits up earlier this year and poor old me can't afford to replace it! Currently not planning to update live from the circuit - but if things change I will let you know!
Cheers

LOL!! So that was what those noises were. I was having this scrummy dream about ponies and I was awakened by this terrific banging from Lord Melchett etc.....
Always admire the pyrotechnics and given my advancing years and many years of experiencing the aformentioned, have managed to perfect the art of sleeping through the 3am ones now. Something to do with the whisky I think though!

Any more? Hmmmm, did a tour of the MB and Bleu campsites last year on the Friday night with a view to doing a "rogues gallery" but never got around to doing anything with it. Maybe I'll revisit that part of the hard drive......

Yeah, that old supermarche in Arnage was useful. First came across it whilst bladdered during the '88 event and took two years to find it again! When I did, I was amazed at the videos available on the shelf; the covers left nothing to the imagination! The deli counter left something to be desired though (can't beleive I'm getting all dewy-eyed about some crummy little store!)
Forgot about the Super U there now. Apart from the obligatory scrum that is Carrefour, the old Stoc (now Champion) at Mulsanne Corner is rather handy (and usually jolly quiet too .. plenty of clear aisles for trolley racing!)
This time in 4 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........

Definitely 2004 for the next Classic, but in the meantime, we do indeed have the Legend support race back this year.
No news on grid yet but important announcement over the weekend was that this year's Legend support event will be run over an hour and be for two drivers per car with mandatory driver change!
Spoke to Dinger over the weekend but the thought didn't occur to me to ask him if he would be driving in the Legend event in a 917 or similar .. doh!

Firework code is generally ignored yes - and not just restricted to Sunday! Remember a few years back over by the circuit side there was quite a battle between 2 warring factions and several were launched as if they were Exocets! Glad we were way over toward the back wall.
Sunday night though is a damn fine party indeed although in 2001 (the wet one) I returned to the site about 2 hours after the finish and it was like first thing Monday morning - everyone had gone home early to dry out or if they were like Lord Steve, they had run out of dry clothes.
Gentlemen, start your burning of sausages!

Thanks for the pointers chaps - finally made it into 2003 and across to the new forum!
OK; to reply to posts to this one from the old forum:
Thanks Rusty for being "to the point" as ever! Have taken your advice as you can see! See you in June then - enjoy the open-wheelers at Brands!
Sebring bar it is then PM! Got your permit sorted yet?
Chris - I'll look out for the Mex. Boring but roomy and comfortable Peugeot 806 for me this year (silver and diesel so chugging down the N138 late Friday/v.early Sat. - hoping to arrive around 3am!!).
Cheers
Rick
