Thanks for the info about Carrefour, Steve.  How long was the hose?

Andy
As far as I remember, we were gready and went for the full 25 metres (for extra manoeuvrability)  Wink
One of our number brought it home with him to water his garden.

During our moist misbehaving on Sunday night, someone drove past in a open car with a passenger who had an amazing supersoaker.  Instead of a piddling stream of water, it just dumped it's entire reservoir in one go - right over my mate standing next to me  Grin

6784  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Camping "passes" for next year. on: August 01, 2003, 08:28:41 pm
All you'll get (eventually) at the moment from the ACO is a letter acknowledging receipt of your request for camping etc.
(Looking at my letter of 9/7/03) there is no indication when they will post notification of allocations and the request for payment, but it's usually from about September onwards.
Just sit tight, and worry like the rest of us.  Grin Grin

We bought a cheap hose and nozzle set this year at Carrefour for 'amusement'.
It came with various sized adaptors and fittings which are the same as UK tap threads.  So no probs there.
Us (and many passers by) got very wet in Houx Annexe on Sunday night.  Grin

Got a photo of it but its too big to post . Blue lights the lot .
Try resizing it with MS Photo Editor (with XP) or similar to about 600 x 400 pixels.  This should bring it down below 100 kb and is then suitable for posting.

Anyone else by the porsche curves when the sh**te merc van with sunbathers on top got pulled !!!!

Very funny .  Wink
I assume you mean on the circuit down towards Arnarge.
Yes, we were there, a red Cadillac soft top and half a dozen cobras.
The police didn't appear to be too impressed with the people on the roof of the van - seeing as it was being driven along the road at the time.  Smiley
I later came a cropper with the police for pouring water down in front of my mates cobra rear tyres so that he could do a smokeeeee burnout.  Grin

They don't appear to stock Commers now though.
6790  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Michel Vaillant - Release date (ish) on: July 28, 2003, 11:29:02 am
I don't suppose there's much chance of it being at my local multiscreen mega cinema though  Huh

Is that moisture I detect between the legs  Huh

I dug this photo out as another example of "this is what it's all about".
Your winning captions on a postcard please.

I don't see much wrong with Jerry Hall either, nothing that a good meal would fix anyway.
6794  Club Arnage / General Discussion / 'Official' 2003 DVD - Duke on: July 26, 2003, 04:34:43 pm
Those lovely people at Play.com sent me the Duke DVD of this years race yesterday (only £11.99) - having ordered it the week before.
The cover descibes it as "The official highlights of the world's greatest 24 hour endurance race".  Also, the back small print says it is produced under licence from the ACO.
Any road up,  it's 110 minutes long, in 4:3 standard screen format and is region 0.
The main 'film' has the usual preamble, qualifying and parade footage before a good chunk of race footage, with an acceptable English commentary.
Other DVD 'extras' include Bentley podium interviews, a Perry McCarthy interview and (in my view poor) in car footage.
So, in conclusion (mulord), it's worth the money just to see all those bits of the race you missed because you were piised at the time.
You know who you are  Grin

I'm sure it was lost in the translation, but I've no idea what "gerontophillia" means.  Huh
Does it involve horses and leather gear ?  Wink
