Oh I love the ACO. Every year I book at the first possible moment. Every year they dick me around. This time, they allocated me 4 pitches in different areas and invoiced me for postage costs which they then failed to deduct. I politely raised the issue with them - see below for their typically snotty response.

ACO = Absolutely Clueless Organisation.

Dear Sir,

In that case, why did you pay ? We suppose that when you send a payment for something, you check.

You didn’t precise that you wanted to receive the tickets, it is usual for you but we can’t remember the usual order of everybody. Do you give us your agreement to take the payment of 17 € for the sending costs ?

Moreover, it was written that the places were separated, we have nothing else to propose you, except in Beauséjour, Pincenardière and Dairon.

Best regards

 My email:

Thank you - I have now recieved confirmation. However there are some problems:

1) The receipt says I need to pick up the tickets from the Parc des Expos. Could you please post them as usual? I always arrive at the circuit during the night, so I need the tickets in advance.

2) The receipt also says I have separated places. Given that I ordered my tickets at the first possible moment (and tried to order a year in advance), I would expect to have pitches which are next to one another so that my party can all camp in one place. can you please rectify this?

Mate they are truly a waste of space ! I'm no longer an ACO member and have gone the ticket tout route (sorry ticket agent), I've had to pay for an extra g/a ticket that I dont want but at least I'm on the campsite that I wanted at only a small mark-up.

How hard could it be for the aco to sort the tickets out Huh aco members first then the rest can have whats left ........that would boost their membership too,

Said it before elsewhere: they are not interested in dealing with X-thousand Brits. Much easier to strike an agreement with various touts/agencies.
