Anyone work with Network Rail
« on: January 21, 2010, 10:04:49 pm »
I know it seems like im always changing my mind about jobs but yet another opportunity has come up  ::)

Months ago I applied to Network Rails advanced apprenticeship scheme but assumed I hadn't been succesful. Last week I got a fone call and an email to complete another online test. I passed it and today I have been invited to a selection day in Larbert on the 5th of march. I have been reading through all the info here http://careers.networkrail.co.uk/apprentices.aspx and quite like the idea.

Just thought seeing as CA is a wealth of experience and knowledge I would ask if anyone has any advise or pointers for me.

Mike

Mr T is the man for you although his experience is a little out of date, but he still has contacts.  I was railway also but a bit periferal and pre Mrs T!  Great pension scheme.... ;D

I'll get him to contact you when I see him over the weekend.

No direct experience, but a near neighbour works as a site manager for them, and every time we have a chat, he seems to be doing Ok and enjoying the work.
