Oh yea, in Liverpool 1 shopping area, Cholmondeley have a shop and are offering a discount on tickets. Can't remember how much.

The other interesting comment made by the bod on the P.A system as they were setting up stuff. That their aim for Cholmondeley is to be as bigger and if not better than Goodwood! ?

What does everyone think?

in a word - NO

They will really need to sort out better ways of crossing the track than last year if they are increasing visitor numbers.

Whilst I really enjoyed the day and like the crossover with cars, boats and helicopters, it has a fair way to go before it comes close to Goodwood.

Plus - how are you going to persuade all those la di dahs to come up north - even to Cheshire!

Found out who owns the cars,

he's from East London  ::) Andreas Panayiotou, and his group of companies - The Ability Group.

Quote
Andreas Panayiotou, whose Ability Group owns the Hilton at Liverpool One, was there with four of his big boys' toys: a rare Ferrari Enzo, a convertible Rolls-Royce, superfast Bugatti Veyron, and a white Lamborghini Diablo.

only 40 and worth a few squid, oh and also owns the Hilton in Liverpool where the event was run from.

Think I better start working harder if I want anything like that, not even sure if I could even afford a room for the night at the Hilton, come to think of it may struggle for the price of a pint of beer there!!!!  ::)

But with all this riches, money and toys, is he really happy????  :-X

But it can help you to rent it for a while.
If I had all the money I've ever spent on drink, I think on balance, I'd probably spend it on drink.
