ACO announcement on policing this year
« on: June 07, 2011, 03:16:24 pm »
All the following was posted on the ACO website yesterday  :police:

This afternoon, Jean Claude Plassart (President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest) and Pascal Lelarge (Prefect of Sarthe) held a press conference devoted to security around and inside the circuit 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Both men said that the "fire alert" would be increased because of drought, then drew the audience's attention to be "responsible. " Moreover, Pascal Lelarge said that 500 police officers will come in support of 2500 people the ACO has assigned to security around the circuit. "This sporting event is on the track, not on the road " he said, adding that "alcohol testers will be out this week in the Sarthe region."

Be careful out there  >:D
