A free afternoon at Indy
« on: May 14, 2017, 07:08:43 pm »
Had the most bizarre thing happen at IMS yesterday.  My wife, a friend, and I went over for the Indycar GP, and managed to walk into the circuit without ever being charged admission.  It was hilarious, we walked along the sidewalk outside the front straight looking for a gate to enter, when we came to the automobile gate at the tunnel at the exit of turn 4, the guard motioned for us to enter while he held up a couple of cars.  We walked in, and I'm standing there looking for someone to pay, and couldn't find anyone. We just moseyed on through the tunnel to the infield and had a most enjoyable afternoon. It wasn't like we were being sneaky, I genuinely couldn't find anyone to take my money (until we needed to eat, then plenty of vendors willing take to our cash).  Thanks IMS for a race on the cheap!

Should have pushed your luck and tried for a drive.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
