The British GP has been confirmed as safe for the next 5 years at Silerstone.
Looks like it'll be a while yet, before we see the back of the megalomaniac dwarf.

Just as long as he stays away from OUR game...

If he comes to try and play in our game I'm taking my ball home... ;)

I last went to an F1 race in 1987. But what has Silverstone's 5 year deal got to do with seeing the back of Bernie or not?

A 5 year deal means that the BRDC will have to keep up the standard of the circuet which should ensure the continuation of the LMES race. I reluctantly thank Bernie for that.

As a Sprint/Hillclimb competitor, the cost of entering an event at Silverstone is already one the most expensive venues there is.  This also the same for Club racing events there.  I only hope that this deal does not mean a further increase in costs to the competitor, at the lower levels, as this will lessen the number of events staged, then the question will be whether it's actually worth all the expense in the long run.  The only races then being run would be LMES, F1 & BTCC!
On a brighter note though, Bernie might be around for another 5 years anyway ::)
