John DeLorean has snuffed it. Best remembered for the stainless steel car that he gave his name to, and we gave and quite a few tax payers pounds, he had a long career at GM before that.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

His legacy was the mid-60's Pontiac GTO - not Back To The Future.
Shame about the Columbian Marching Powder incident - he made a difference in Detroit, that's for sure.
If it\'s good and fast, it won\'t be cheap. If it\'s fast and cheap, it won\'t be good. If it\'s good and cheap, it won\'t be fast.

Many millions of pounds of British Government aid never reached Lotus, Colin Chapman took the secret of his share to the grave, Fred Bushell was finally tried, convicted and jailed for his part in the affair, and although John DeLorean was also indicted, he chose to stay in the USA, from where he could avoid extradition to Great Britain.

The theory goes that Chapman did a "Lucan" and is currently 'lording' it somewhere in South America - the cardiac being all too convenient timing once the investigation started!  ;)
