getting to LM station after the race

I hope one of you lot can offer some sensible ideas on this, I know that is being brave, and possible impossible, but here goes.

One of our party has to get to Paris for his in-laws wedding aniversary. He can get the TGV to Paris at 5.30 on Sunday. Has any one got any ideas on how he can get there or is any one heading that way on the Sunday?

Whitey we did think of that, but how easy are they to come by at 4.15/30pm on Sunday?? And would it be a white 406, with wings!!!!!!

Has any one got any idea on busses on sunday??

Is anyone in your party on a motorbike, the after race traffic would best be tackled on one of these if he doesn't mind going on the back.

Mind you you'd have to know where you were going....................

Mr. B. Hat,
Every year we travel to LM station at about 5:30/6:00pm. The traffic is not too bad, but this might be a little late for your man. It usually takes about 15mins. If it's not too late for him I'd be happy to give him a lift, mind you there won't be much, if any, luggage room.
Travel to Paris for an in-laws wedding anniversary?! That's a bit tenuous isn't it? The man must be keen, I'm not even sure I can name my in-laws...

Big H thank you for the kind offer sir. I will enquire if he can travel later.

He will not be taking any luggage all his stuff will be in Paris, apart from the smelly stuff he leaves with us.......................I dont know there he is going of to swanky resturant then onto the Moulan Rouge and we get his dirty washing..........Im just too nice.................

As for his in-law, he has only been married for 2 years so pleanty of time to forget them yet.

Looking at http://www.ter-sncf.com/pays_de_la_loire/default_uk.asp the trains aren't that regular through Arnage

Hi Bobblehat,
                     There is a shuttle bus from opposite the main gate. it takes about 20-30 minutes to the Gare.
I would suggest he do a Smokie and miss the last few minutes of the race and be at the bus for a few minutes before 4:00pm. Imperative he have a reservation on the train. The platform will be packed. Quite doable I have done it. Forget Arnage train too complicated. Taxi leaves from same location as shuttle bus.

Brian is taking care of me for sure.  He is right, I would really appreciate a lift again, like last year, back to the station.  My train leaves around 20:00 so we have plenty of time.  I promise not to bring as much cargo as last year.  Thanks
