This is a great big thank you to all the Club Arnage people who helped me put my trip back together after I was 'stood up' early in May. Thank you to Smokie and Mark, who went an extra large number of miles to look after me both in England and in France; (and thank you to George too); thanks to Piglet and Keith and Co. for seeing me safely home; and thank you to Mark Derry in between, for helping match up the two ends of the trip to the middle -- including fetching my photographer Jamie from the train station and giving him a ride round the track in a Lotus, a great experience for a Le Mans newbie!
Everyone says that motor racing is a close-knit community, and they are actually understating the situation. And any time I can do anything to help out the community, count me in!
Thank you to all and I hope to see you again in other times and places.
Nevertheless, I am glad to be home.
