Just been looking on Daily Sportscar and work has started at LM, this should all be completed by end of Feb.

They have to spend our money on something.

Aren't they rebuilding the village.  What a shame, but it did need tarting up a bit.  The good T shirt shop (was it american?) won't be coming back, presumably due to high rents, so presumably its all going to be corporate merchandise and hospitality.

Why do builders always have to bulldoze everything and start again.  It'll lose its character.

That would be a shame if Jacque and Lilliane Sar pulled their t-shirt boutique out of the village.  Their red trailer with Momo flags on each side is a fixture at the ALMS and Grand-Am races over here.  It was always fun to see Lilliane at the Sarthe, she'd send me off with a "I see you at Mid-Ohio in a couple of weeks!".  They're obviously French, but based out of San Francisco.

In that case I expect the village of Dover to be completely refurbished next time I come and visit the UK. (having bought at JustTickets this year)

Dover has been refurbished - to house all the illegal immigrants.  Don't get a ferry to Dover, hide in a Eurostar, and when they find you, you get a free house and car.  And you paid for a holiday over here.

From memory, I think they said this was their last year - I'll check with another team member who's on holiday at the minute

Details of what they are doing are on the ACO site.  Basically they are redeveloping the Village and that end of the pits area too.  By the time they are finished they will have more pit garages, and better access between the two.  Well thats what I read the other day anyway.
