Good for him. Anyone but Verstappen who has pissed off all of his fans this week. Big story in Holland for the last couple of days.

What did he do ?

Btw, the Spyker F1 team will be the first F1 team that I support in a long time. Orange cake, anyone ?  ;D
I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

The thing is, Verstappen got paid too late for his services in the previous season. He received a million dollars though, but that's beside the point in his view. Therefore he demanded, the day before yesterday, a bank guarantee for the whole season, otherwise he wouldn't drive.

Seatholder Jan Lammers is not in the position to give bank guarantees, because he doesn't have a spare million laying around for that and thought the contract would be enough to get his money. For extra assurance, the A1GP organisation was willing to sign that contract as well. Verstappen (i.e. his manager Huub Rothengatter) nonetheless thought it was better to withdraw from the race, leaving 70.000 paying fans without their hero (not mine though).

Have lots of fun this weekend. And take some pictures of all the orange stands.

Oh yes!
There's always a big banner saying "Overtaking is an art", because that's sort of his speciality. We're taking a banner that says "Overasking is an art".

And hgb, taking pics of all the orange stands is challenging, if not impossible!

Spyker to get Ferrari engines.

I wonder if it will be the "current" race spec engine?  Has anyone seen any news  about our best chum Mr Herbert and whether if his services will be retained by Spyker?
