I too had the upside down thread thing too but I unticked the box.
The speed seems to be fine for me at work and home so perhaps it's now been sorted.
Thanks again for this site whether it's fast or slow.
If I was you, I wouldn't start from here

Our beloved server is having a hard time, getting old and the memory cannot cope.

However, it has proven to be mighty difficult to locate the *exact* and correct RAM
modules for the little so-and-so. This morning several things were tried, but nothing
really worked.
I have a few other options lined up, which I'd like to try tomorrow morning (DK time)

SO, now you're warned that there might be the occasional outage of this forum
tomorrow morning (Jan 19 2007). I know thats like like holding your breath, but I'll
try to make the least possible impact.

I'm sure we can all put up with a few hiccups. Your efforts are very much appreciated

just for notes,

Ihave just discovered that if I go through the forum without signing in, the latest update is at the end of the row.

But once I have logged in, the latest report is at the front of the list.

Is this normal?

You have "Show most recent posts at the top." ticked in your profile, under "Look and Layout Preferences"

Some confusion to what the standard should be may have caused that, - but either way, you can reset it by unticking it.

Since the last upgrade, many people may have found the look&feel has changed. This is probably because we try to run the new software, with the old Theme. Some of the features we were used to in the old version, has now moved into the theme, and since we're using the old theme, they are not there.

Personally I have changed to a copy of the bundled Theme - which I have called "default with CA modifs". Its different, but I think it is the way to go.  When we're finished testing/polishing, it will be made the forum default.

Notice your swear filter needs redoing since the upgrade.
