I guys (and gals), just got back to Australia after my second trip to Le Mans and found this site while looking for photos of the race. I've posted a few times, so thought I should introduced myself here.

I've been a Le Mans fan since the late '90's but getting to the race from Australia isn't easy (and some of you think the ferry trip from the UK takes a long time !). Between visits I maintain my interest collecting models, books and the annual DVD, while the webcast of Radio Le Mans is a lifeline as we get no TV coverage at all in Australia.

Hope to catch up with some of you at another race in the future.

Good you had a good and safe trip going to Le Mans and back

But your back to the Oz winter, bad planning ;D

Any way do'nt you have the Bathurst 24hr, which is more madder than Le Mans I'm told.

As Oz is such a small place,  ;) if your ever North of Newcastle there is a good Motor bike museum, some good racing examples. Also I have a brother who lives an hour from Newcastle, runs a tea room/cafe with his wife - go in and tell him I said you could have a free coffee !

If you're going through hell, keep going.

Thanks nopanic. At least an Australian winter is dryer than La Sarthe in June (this year at least).

I'm in Perth, which is about as far from Newcastle as Moscow is from London ! Funnily enough, I've got to Le Mans twice but have never been to Newcastle.
