I think that to help Doris with her administration there should be a cut off date set for the nominations of charities, there are many worthy causes but we do need to make a decison on the third.
As Doris says she cant make that decision, and it will be only for this year on the Third charity, next year it could remain the same or another could be relevant - it depends on next years vote.
So lets put the nominations forward and then have the poll to see which comes out favourite and go with that this year.
I know where my vote will go and its already been nominated.

What I am trying to do in this thread is get people's nominations together so I can set up a pole that everyone can vote on to decide this year's 3rd charity.  I want this to be ready in time for Knetter and I to get letters sent to teams before we head to Sebring so we can have maximum exposure of what we are doing, in order to - hopefully - get more contributions from the teams that attend both LM and the ALMS.

Although without a cut off date set, Doris has already pointed out that your proposal is pretty much what's about to happen. And because she wants to get things done before leaving for Sebring I think the poll will come anytime soon. Perhaps a good idea for next year: start the nominations thread with a set date for the nominations to end and the poll to begin

What Doris and I are planning to do is write the teams competing at Sebring as soon as the list of entries is known. So that would be in about 10 days. She will probably open a poll very soon. So watch the forum closely!
