Prodrive Astons

Didn't it look like there were 4 "works" cars instead of 2?  I have it on good authority that there were really 3.  Prodrive wanted to run 3, but only had 2 entries, whilst Larbre also had 2, but could only really afford to run one, so a deal was done.  The pit crew for the 3rd Prodrive car (008) was the works manager and a selection of factory staff.  They had a good laugh at the expense of the professional mechanics when 008 was fastest in practice! ;)

And yes a very adequate budget was available.

As the FIA have snaffled prodrive's F1 entry money for next year (E300K IIRC), here's hoping they turn their backs on the 'professional wrestling with wheels' series.

Fingers crossed.

I can confirm that there will be NO F1 team from Prodrive. It has a lot to do with the £300K limit if the team are run be a car manufacturer, however that idea will not go ahead for next year it meant that there was not enough time to develop a car left.

I heard it the other day and I can confirm that they are designing a prototype for LM, the Vantage is aimed at competing as a GT2 Car aswell.
