Swopping Bourdais for JV is a result for Peugeot, Brabham has got to be an asset as well.

Trouble is, putting a current F1 driver in a car is gonna cause problems, firstly he'll want a refuel and new tyres after about 30 minutes, and drive off 15 seconds after arriving in the pits,  then 2 hours after the race has started he'll fly off home ;D

Great news for Brabs though, great bloke always ready to chat,  and a great chance of that overall win.
Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?

Herbert?  There must be one more recently, but I can't think of them.

Alan McNish only raced Grands Prix in 2002. The following year he was a Renault F1 test driver. He was Toyota F1 test driver in 2001. He didn't race at LM in any of those years IIRC.
So far it looks like Johnny Herbert.

Could be Eddie Irvine in 1994 when he raced for Jordan in F1 and SARD at Le mans?

Nice one Rup. Looks like Eddie fits the ticket. Unless anyone has a better idea.
Can't be Wurz. He won LM in 1996, and never came back (so far). He started F1 in 1997.

Anthony Davidson only drove once at LM - in 2003. He was a test driver at BAR that year. Still looks like Eddie.

I also think it was Eddie. I'm sure we would have seen more active F1 Drivers at Le Mans over the years but this was simply not possible. In a lot of years the race collided the the F1 calendar, usually the GP Canada.

hoping that the car would break down. I came away in love with the place." - Eddie Irvine
