It's not an original, but to walk away is highly impressive

Aye, a 2/3rd size replica, albeit with a V-12, and fortunate indeed to survive the resultant forced landing after engine failure in high winds - video is here:

and replicas are fine, but of course, what this sort of thing should look like is more like this:

and if you don't like the music and merlins mixed together then....and the Hurricane was having fun...

I was at Duxford for the Battle of Britain airshow at the beginning of Septermber. they had 16 Spitfires in the air at the same time  Shocked standing on the bank outside the land warfare hall as they flew overhead at high speed was just incredible. most airshows once you seen one you've seen them all but that was something else.

16 Spits - they didn't have that many to make the Battle of Britain film 40 years ago.

Its a shame that someones bestest toy has been destroyed, but at least he can make another, or save up for a real one

Speaking of Spitfires, when this Tv presenter told the pilot of this Spitfire to 'Just give us a low pass so we can have a decent camera angle' I don't think he meant quite this low or this fast.

Should a pilot really be making high speed passes at this altitude (or lack thereof)?

Hi Pilgrim,
Not just any TV presenter. That is Alain De Cadenet.

Pilgrim, the pilot in that clip is Charlie Brown. One of the greatest and reknown Spitfire display pilots there is.

It was the opening for a BBC show "The Airshow"
