Tony Lanfranchi
« on: October 11, 2004, 05:16:11 pm »
Tony Lanfranchi has lost his fight against cancer. Not only a great sportscar driver in period but latterly a great stalwart of the historic scene, He will be missed by us all.
In the 70's and 80's seemed to be every race I watched. driving everything from F1, F5000 to Grp C GRIDs and Production saloons.
Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

He was a real one off, a proper character.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

That is very sad. Tony was a constant Name back when I was reading Triple C back in the seventies.
