When you are in the screen where you type in your message, click on additional options. Under the text panel there are attachment fields. It tells you the file types and maximum size - you may need to downsize some pics before posting them, although the maximum size is now pretty high.
However you may need to downsize them to make the fit onto teh screen and avoid sideways scrolling.
I use PaintShop Pro for altering pictures but there are lots of other packages which do the same thing.
I haven't tried attaching on this new version, but on the old version if you previewed your post the picture then didn't appear.
