Ticket Holders
« on: December 09, 2005, 03:21:26 pm »
it looks like i will need to order some ticket holders and lanyards for the 2006 excursions, i know you get them from the tour company (but who really wants to advertise MRI or Airtrack) or i can by them at the track but i prefer to get plain ones and then rebrand the as necessary. does anyone know of a UK based firm that will sell you small numbers of these, say about 20?

i have got these before but i ended up shipping them in from the states and the delivery charges were more than the holders.

if other people want some is it worth clubbing together so we can buy in bulk?

If the price is right, I'll take 10 for the KKOC.

Presumably you can  print a label and stick it on.

I believe JPC is your man - he got a bulk order this year.  I will be looking for some as well.

I got our plain lanyards and holders from the US this year. Even after shipping, duty and VAT they were far cheaper than the UK suppliers. They will print both the lanyards and holders as well, but you must be talking quantity.  I was going to suggest getting some CA ones done if people are interested? I fully appreciate what you're saying Andy about not wanting to advertise for MRI/Airtrack etc but I for one am happy to advertise for this site which is provided to us FOC by Dave Davies.

I believe Robbo had a decent price from the CA t-shirt supplier for lanyards as well? Not sure if they did the holders as well or not?

Maybe we can compare the two and then get some organised?

If it's any help, I have ordered a few hundred with nice lanyards and they will be avaliable ex a certain well known team specific CA friendly web site in Jan ;)

PS Long time no speak to some of you. Seasons Greetings and good will to all at CA, especially those who reside on MB

I will be interested in plain lanyards for '06. If you guys want to join forces to buy cheaper, then count DfH in too. We might want to steal JPC's idea as for booze-cards.

I binned the idea last year, due to costs...

But. I t worked out at 80p each for 200 all labelled up, printed lanyard and plain pouch.

If people want the name of the firm i can pass it on.

ok i have found out a bit more
clear plastic wallets 4" x 7 1/4" up to 500 will cost us $0.32 each
Plain lanyards up to 500 will cost us $0.68 each

The real killer is the shipping costs a cost for 200 wallets and lanyards comes in at $65 plus duties and VAT

What do you think the chances areof asking one of the clubs American friends if they could assist if we got them shipped to them from the supplier and if they know of a cheaper shipping method to the UK as we do have time on our side?

I reckon I'll just re-use either the 2003 one from the ACO shop or last year's (ooh b*ggerit, this year's! ) AUDI Sport freebie (actually a better placky wallet on these than the ACO one)
Mine still has the free FM radio/lap timer attached too.

Can't say it's a major fashion decision for me either.

Still got a "Just Tickets on a rope" one too somewhere.

I'm going to go with the new fangled storage device that some people are refering to as "your pocket".

It's safe enough for my money, so I reckon it'll be just dandy for my ticket.

btw, the ACO do give away some of these for free over race weekend.   Just ask and smile sweetly at the nice ladies serving on the desks.

go visit their centre which is outside of the main gates.
