Yep, I've hit the half century.

Seeing as I am one of the unlucky ones that has his birthday too close to Christmas and New year ( thanks parents ! ). Most of my pals and comrades are either skint partied out or away skiing.

To celebrate this monumental event I will be having a soiree in the smoke on the 27th January. Venue is yet to be decided as yet dependant on numbers but it will be in the Soho / Covent Garden area so it will be be fairly easy for the blind and wounded to shovel themselves onto trains and cabs.

Any of you lot that would like to join the merry throng of the Brethren for that evening then you are all more than welcome. It could form part of an initial shake down for 2006.

I will post the actual venue during the course of this week once I have had a response from the majority of my gang.

I doubt I'll be able to make the 27th as I'll be too busy $hitting myself about having my hair chopped off on the 28th - and working.   :(

Do you now get cheap Lemans trips courtesy of Saga and  bike insurance and free incontinence pants .

I'll be starting a break away unit called Sagalouts. The new brethren shirt will be in beige of course and we'll be holding whist drives and have a nice little cake stall on MB. Maybe Paddy can bring some of the necessary ingredients.

I'm already planning a course in MB for the Zimmer frame race.  We tried it last year, but nobody could cope with a genuine Le Mans start.

Congratulations and happy birthday mate - remember that you are now allowed to get older officially, disgracefully and in public ;D ;D.   Mind you. we'll have to keep an eye on you to make sure that you don't start falling asleep and drooling, or bang out of the Brethren party early to get an early night (to sleep anyway).   Won't be able to make the 27th, so all the best and I'll join you in spirit for a beer that evening,

Happy Birthday Rusty. I too will not be able to amke it but will hoist another beer in your honour. Sebring would make a nice Birthday present along with Bike Week in Daytona  ???
