A28 - The right junction to exit ?
« on: June 08, 2006, 12:22:26 am »
We are travelling down the A28 that runs along side the N138. We want to exit at the junction where it meets up with the N138 at that big roundabout on the northern edge of town. (near The Buffalo Grill). So that we can take the ring road to the circuit.

This is the map of the junction and god knows if i can make any sense of it.

Is anyone familiar with this junction and how its sign posted for the exit we want. We missed it last year.

Thanks

Looking at the junction would I be correct that you take the slip road that leads to the A11 east and the slip road then spits to an exit just before it rejoins the A11 east ???

Hi there,

are you trying to get to where the F1 and Village hotels? there are a lot of restaurants, cinema, bar to the left as you come off the péage if so you need to look for Le Mans ZI Nord.

You've got to bear right, obviously ;), then keep to the left as if going east bound, then keep right onto a slip road which will bring you back round to the r/bout in question.  Doesn't show very well on that map, autoroute shows it better  ;) that's the route we're taking, think you'll find it'll be s/posted Le Mans centre (ville?)

Are we thinking of the same exit  ;D i am thinking of the one at St Saturnin? it is signposted to Le Mans Centre Ville to the left when you get to the first roundabout after the péage. If you turn right at that roundabout you then used to turn left after the bridge to get to where the all the hotels are this is now a roundabout as well.

we are there for the thursday night then go down in to the centre for the rest of the weekend, feed up of trying to get taxi's to come and pick us up  >:(

It's the first "Le Mans" exit you get two.  The road gets down to a single lane and is quite curvy so you will be going slow enough to spot the exit.

It's Exit 22. Just follow the signs for Le Mans Centre and then Zone Industrielle Nord.
That sets you on the N138 going south, and you'll know where you are.
