We went down on the Thursday last year and the track was being used for a race, whether that's a regular event though I couldn't say as we'd previously been on Fridays.

Bad luck mate. You ask a very reasonable question. Unfortunately over the last few years Audi book up the whole kart track for five days solid for corporate entertainment. The public don't get a look-in anymore. We nearly had a punch up with the Audi people over this a few years ago. It's this kind of greedy monopoly of the entertainment on offer which is just one of the many reasons why I will never ever buy an Audi (the other main one being that their cars are over-priced crap). I hope people bear their behaviour in mind when choosing their next car.
I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.
