I really hope that is just a rumour as last years was a great race dispite a few teams being sabotaged. The EERC would make a lot more money if that advertised at Le Mans and provided camping on the infield.

There is a press release on the Britcar website that talks about the problems that they have had concerning complaints about the noise from the race last year, but it mentions that the objections have been overcome and provided certain modifications are adhered to (not specified) then the race will go ahead at Silverstone again in 2007 the week before the 1000K being the most likely date. ;D

I think my car stereo was louder then the cars at night due to the fog slowing them down.

I can never understand why people buy a house near a racing circuit and then complain about the noise. If they ever say it was not a racetrack before they moved in then it was probably an airport!

Or should I come along  and play around with the stereo? ;D

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Ironically I understand that it was the fog that caused the problem. Sound travels further in damp air (or through water) and that meant that folk slightly further away were disturbed during the night. ::)

And yet, the cars ran behind the Safety Car during the fog at a much reduced pace. I'd woulda thought the A43 created more noise.
Wooosh!!!!
