I've not quite worked Chapelle out yet?

Convenient as its inside the perimeter, there's a few taps dotted around and a toilet block with showers.  Space is not really a problem and I dont remember it being crowded last year.  However the world and his wife will pass by so keep an eye on your gear.

We were [supposed to be] in Chapelle last year but owing to late arrival and not quite knowing what or where Chapelle was we finished up on other side of Interior Musee...

Welcome to CA BTW

It's very small compared to the other campsites so can be a bit qt.  Only been there once maybe ten years ago.  Quite funny watching some p*sshead takeing a running jump at the gate that stops you geting from the Bugatti circuit to the 24 hour track The wood was not a strong as he thought and he ended up with a bloody nose.   His arms and legs when though but his head didn't.

From Tetra Rouge it's the first camping on the right.  I don't think it has any sort of sign saying "Chapelle"  I seem to remember they have gates that they actualy open and close each time a car goes though.

Not sure if this will help, but I'm sure if you drive down the road between Houx Annex and the track, there's a gate which they will let you through. I think this is Chapelle. Although don't curse my name when you're sat there in your car being laughed at by the local tabard wearing meat heads.

Most people on Houx Annex will walk through Chapelle on route to the action, so get there early for a spot that's out of the way.

We had a Chapelle pass last year, but after a conversation with said tabarded meat head on the entrance to Houx Annexe, he let us in. Couldn't tell you what we said to him. Could well have been about grandma's pen being in the garden...

We used Chappelle for a few years. It's kinda OK if you have a motorhome, as we did - but a couple of points to consider.
Most of it is not level ground, so you might find you roll out of your tent on some of the more precipitous ground.
It's f**k*ng loud! Being so close to the track, it's very noisy.
It's a main thoro'fare for folks trekking from Garage Vert, Houx and Houx Annexe, many of whom stop for a convenient piss in and amongst all your gear - so don't set up camp anywhere near the Dunlop bridge and the foot bridge over the Bugatti circuit.
There are stand pipes and (unpleasant) bogs. I don't remember any showers and deffo no electrical hook-up.
Upside is that it is super-convenient for a stumble to track-side.
Entrance is right next to Garage Vert entrance.

Blimey thats a big pic. Shocked

Thanks for that Matt, I had a choice of campsites when I booked and Chappelle seemed like a good choice at the time. Still , no sleep, piss all over the tent, sounds like the last four years at Tetre Rouge, only difference is it was our piss.  Grin
