Is it good form or bad?
« on: June 16, 2004, 06:29:49 pm »
Question...

I'll keep this simple...

I didn't get to go this year.  >:(

The other 4 guys I normally go with did get to go and I even sorted out their camping pass for them.  :D

So is it good form ar bad form for them to get back and simply say they had a cr@p time and won't bother again... ?  ???

I know they are lying of course, but wondered what the CA take would be on it!!!

Good form to tell you they had a crap time (even if they are lying) just to help you feel a little better about missing out.  :)

Bad form to say they're not going again. I mean.......who ever goes to Le Mans and then doesn't want to go back!!!!!  ???

That's why our group had grown to 21 people this year!!

I think you're right JP.

They are all coming up with the same story, so it's obviously a planned party line for my benefit!

It's quite sweet considering they are all animals! And there's no way in hell they won't be going back!!

I may yet get the last laugh... I'm off to take a gander at the winning cars tomorrow at the Audi Offices...  ::)  ;D

hmmmmm well it depend why they had a cr@p time.   If they have been before they should know the score.  One of the guys (A virgin) in our group apparently was not happy cos it was too cold in the mornings.    (Good job it wasn't wet as well then)   PLUS he didn't read my instructions.

I can understand it's not to everyones taste.   In my book if they don't like it then thats their problem.  They don't have to go.

I happen to know somebody who's temping at the VAG group head quarters and they told me yesterday that "Some fancy racing cars have turned up from France and are on display for some reason..."   :o  so he checked with his Boss if I could pop along and he didn't seem to mind. It's not open to the publlic though unfortunatly. They seem to be a great at giving something back to their employees. They are also allowing  their staff test drives of all the new A6 range. All sitting in the car park waiting to be taken out apparently!

I'll see if I can get a pic to post.

They've all been before and I know they are as addicted as the next man. I'll get to the bottom of it, even if it takes a baseball bat!!  ;D

Russ,

Why didn't you go this year?

Seems strange that you didn't.
